Alison's Pov
I looked around the room and reached into my purse. The ring was still there, as beautiful as always. It had a silver band with five little green stones and my engagement ring from Jacob is nothing close to it. That one is silver with blue sapphire like stones and a diamond.
I was at the doctors office waiting for my name to be called. It was finally week 14, I just felt like everyday is going to go by slow now because of that one secret that will be with me my whole life.
"Ms. Stache?" My head popped up right away when I had heard my name. I stood up and walked toward the nurse and followed her into the room. "How is everything today and will anyone be joining you?"
"I am fine thank you. And no I will not be joined by anyone today." Jacob wanted to come but with working two jobs to support us, he stayed home to get some sleep. I think he may be sitting on the couch waiting for me though.
"Alright, well the doctor should be here shortly. She is with another patient at the moment."
"Okay, sounds good." I smiled up at the nurse as she left the room.
I decided to take out my phone and play Candy Crush Saga, the one game just about everyone plays now days. About 20 minutes later the doctor finally came in.
"Good afternoon Ms. Stache."
"Good afternoon." The doctor walked into the room and right over to the desk in the room, taking out a bunch of charts.
"Is everything alright so far?"
"Yes, everything is perfect." It wasn't a lie. Everything that has happened to me has been perfect and I am still shocked at how well my brother had taken everything that has happened.
"Alright, well if you could just lie on the bed we can get this over with. So you can get home to Jacob." I did as she said while blushing all together surprising how she knew that I was looking forward to getting home.
The doctor set up the machine as I crawled onto the bed. Before I knew it the cold blue jell was getting spread around on my belly. "Well everything seems to be going well. Any pictures today?"
"That's great! I would like one picture please." The doctor walked out of the room but was back in a matter of seconds with the photo.
"Here you go. I have made you next appointment and will call you for a reminder."
"Okay. Thank you so much." I shook the doctor's hand and headed home.
~At Home~
"Jacob I'm home!" I walked into the house seeing the lights on.
"Hey Ali! I'm in the living room. How was the appointment?"
"The appointment went very well. The doctor said everything is fine and she set up an appointment already for the next time."
"That's great!" I set all my things down and took off my jacket. I walked over to where Jacob was and curled up by him on the couch when all of a sudden there was a knock on the door.
"I got it." I sighed as I got up to go see who was at the door. I got to the door and opened it.
"Hi Ali." My mouth dropped and everything that I wanted to forget had come back. Now what am I going to do?!
