I left the apartment with a small smile on my face. Helping Peter out had turned out to be a good thing. Not only for Peter but for me as well. Having someone to take care of and talk to, was a different change of pace. It was a nice one at that.

Bonding with someone was something I never had time for. But with Peter, it was easy as breathing air. He was funny and very kind hearted. Peter just fell behind a bit and had to get some help getting back on his feet. It was hard, trying to gather yourself and be there for everyone else in the same breath.

There was a brief talk about a new Spider hero popping up around Queens. I guessed that might be where Peter is from. He tried to become a hero and his personal life got in the way, in the worst possible way. It was a surprise though. When the worse things happen in your life, you can go down the wrong path and stay stuck for the rest of your life.

Peter didn't. He reached out for help and still kept his kind heart.

I waited at the crosswalk waiting for the cars to stop and the crosswalk voice thing to say 'walk', on repeat. A few streets were now installed with more handicappied friendly walk signs. I guess I'm in a good mood since I'm thinking about all of the positive things. That must be the effect Peter has on people.

Or falling in love.

I sensed them before they touched me. A hand was on my shoulder and I found myself being dragged in the opposite direction that I was headed.

"It's a good thing your so idle!" A voice finally spoke as a few seconds had passed by. "Don't go making a big scene now. Don't want anyone to get hurt." It was then I realized that whoever the person was, wasn't alone. And that they had weapons on their person. With at least three other people were tailing us.

"What do you want from me?" I asked, my voice not giving away any emotions.

"Now don't be like that! The boss just wants a talk, that's all! In and out. It'll quick little buddy." The voice said, almost with a smile.

"And who's your boss?"

The figure pulled me in closer like we were hugging and titled his head down. "Don't go asking too many questions now. It'll get you killed." They whispered in my ear.
