Naruse Amachi's Weird Dream

Things Accelerated Quickly

Naruse and 9s were sent flying into the air!

The both of them reacted quickly and launched their grappling hooks and hung to the side of the cliff - any slower of a reaction, and they would be crushed by the impact.

Both Naruse and 9s thought the incident was off and became a little suspicious of the mission that sent them on this journey. Despite the thought, the two still met up with the rest of the team and started the investigation as stated in their mission instructions.

At the carnival looking area, everything seemed normal...that was until Naruse noticed something off with Asahi, a colleague. Naruse tried to warn the others, but they paid no attention to it and continued on with the investigation.

Suddenly, Asahi charged toward Naruse! Naruse swiftly brought out his flail to counter Asahi's attack.

Naruse's counter barely held when the other attacked. Nevertheless, it was still successful in smacking Asahi's face, causing him to stumble backwards.

During the aggressive exchange, Naruse grasps the fact that if he growls, the flail would glow in a way where two ovals in the shape of eyes would be emitted. And this would indicate whether a counter would work.

Having known this, and using it to his advantage, Naruse growled each time to deflect the other's attack!

Asahi seemed to be running out of steam as he was being damaged by Naruse's constant counter. On the other hand, Naruse has been doing relatively well as his counter skill protected him by reflecting all the attacks taken back to the caster.

Suddenly, what seemed to be a red mist jumped from Asahi's head to possess another colleague's body and they started attacking instead!

As Naruse countered one after another attack from his colleagues, the mist possessed its final victim...a girl who held a pistol in her hands. The possessed aimed her pistol at Asahi, who was still dazed and confused as to what happened.

Naruse made a quick move and dashed to deflect her arm, but she swiftly altered her position and pointed the pistol to her head.

At this very moment, Naruse could clearly see the fear in her eyes...he knew that she was controlled to do such actions, and she was terrified. Naruse signaled the team to distract her with a spell while he yanked the pistol off her hands.

Before she could react, Naruse instantly subdued her and tied everyone up in case anyone would get possessed once more and start another battle against each other.
