I was voted for. But only four people could advance to the Final Vote. I didn't know how it would work but I hoped that luck would be on my side.
"Sara... You...!!" Q-Taro looked at Sara with disbelief.
"It's just like I said," Sara insisted. "I'm not the Sacrifice, I'm a Commoner."
"Four will advance to the final vote," Gashu said. "Sou Hiyori."
Shin looked uneasy.
"Kanna Kizuchi."
Kanna shivered.
"Keiji Shinogi."
Keiji stayed silent.
"Nao Egokoro."
"W-Why me...?!" Nao asked.
"(Name) Hiyori, as you did not reach the average amount of votes, you will be excluded from the Final Vote." Gashu gave me a soft smile.
Kanna quietly sobbed.
"This... isn't... right..." Nao murmured.
A small amount of time passed as we sat in silence.
"Lift your heads up!!" Sara shouted. "We've always done what we had to do...! No matter how cruel it is, you can't stop!!"
"But..." Kanna faltered.
"Kanna, we're not your enemies...!" Sara said. "Even if someone is the Sacrifice... We move in the same direction! We talk, and we advance the discussion...!!"
"Sara...!!" Nao said, looking a bit more hopeful.
Keiji chuckled. "Right you are."
"The real battle begins here..." Shin said.
"All right...!" Alice said. "First, it's time for those of us who weren't picked to guide the discussion! Incidentally, I am a Commoner... Be at ease..."
"Muscle gorilla!" Gin yelled. "It's not the time to shrivel up, meow! Let's remember the card trades in order, woof!"
"Y-Yeah...!" Q-Taro said.
"Now, please grasp your fate with your own hands. May you not all perish..." Gashu quietly sat in the chair again.
"Now we will have an in-depth discussion on the card trades!!" Alice said. "Understood?!"
"Stripey!" Gin said. "Leave us to us, meow!!"
"There were four trades made in total!" Q-Taro started. "That ain't that many!"
"That's not right, Q-Taro," I said.
"W-What?!" he asked.
"There were five trades in total," I corrected. "By the way, I've been Commoner the whole time."
"Same here, Big sib (Name)!" Gin added.
"H-Hold on!" Q-Taro interrupted. "By my memory, there were three trades... Then I heard there was one just before the Main Game..."
"Ah, I get it..." Keiji said. "You misunderstood, Q-taro. There were two trades while you were out."
"Whaaat?!" Q-Taro asked. "That don't make no sense!!"
