I am writing this in the morning, so I don't disturb his sleeping, since he's not an early riser, though he's getting better.

Bando has been great! When I found him sleeping near my abandoned fire at camp, and after I had been hearing police sirens for a while, I thought he was running from the law LOL turns out, he's a college English professor who just got lost. Now he's having fun hanging out with me in my treehouse! I have to ask him not to take pictures with his own phone, because I don't want anyone to know where I am, but I allow him to take them with my phone, since I disconnected it from my SIM card so (hopefully) the government can't use it to track me. Now, it's just a computer a lot of the time, being able to work the apps I have on it now. I actually don't use it as much I thought I would, because I'm able to do quite a lot without it, but I still keep it with me out of habit, and it's a nice way to keep a photo-album of my time here, not to mention these journals. Though, maybe when I go into town next time, I'll pick up a Bluetooth keyboard, because it can be really annoying typing out all of these words on the nitpicky screen.

I learned how to make acorn pancakes the other day! It's my own recipe, internet free! I ground up cooked acorns into a fire, added water, cooked, and ate them! Bando thought they were a bit dry, so we got some sugar from town, and we are going to make some blueberry jam, along with clay pots to put it in! Anyway, Bando has to leave in a week or two, because school is starting up again. Well, I guess summer is about to start coming to a close.

I've also made some friends out here! The squirrels are chatty, and there are dozens of birds around. How they make me laugh! Even at night there is always noise, but it's not the noisy traffic of New York, but the sweet chorus of bugs and birds. Frightful loves to watch them during the day from her perch, but I can't let her fly after them yet, since I need her to help me hunt, and I don't think she's fully trained yet.
