IT'S FINALLY HERE! WINTER! The first sign was the animals – they all VANISHED! I look to the animals for signs about the weather, and plan accordingly, and when they all vanished, I knew something BIG was coming. As soon as I noticed the animals had fled, I grabbed Faithful. It's been a while since I've mentioned her. Huh. I've been training her since I caught her, and I am proud to say that she has turned into a BEAUTIFUL BIRD! At times I think I put too much faith into my internet findings, but she is fierce, and she even helped me catch food to add to my stash. I am always amazed at how she calculated just the right speed and angle to dive in order to catch her prey. Astounding! I smoke some of what she catches after I feed her. Smoked meat is tough, but food is good. I was holed up all night (well, I guess I do normally sleep here, but it's different because it SNOWED!) I came out, and the snow was such a pure white, that I just HAD to take a picture of it. And then, I took a video of it, because it was SO beautiful. The only downside is because I had to head in early, had no chance to charge my phone, so I need to stop this early, so my battery doesn't run out.
