OH MY GOODNESS! CHRISTMAS WAS AMAZING! Bando came, and we spent the holiday together! He came a few days early, and we got to catch up, and even shared some acorn pancakes on Christmas morning, with some tea. (I have turned turtle shells into bowls and cups). Then, oh my goodness, I hear a shout from further down the mountain, and my brain is all DAD???????. I was so excited to see him, and he was happy to see me too. He admitted he was beyond surprised when I didn't come back the next day, which I totally don't get, but he said that I was on social media! Apparently I had been in town too much with my new deerskin clothes, and some small-town kids had posted pictures of me. Not what I wanted, but hey, what can I do about it. Anyway, my mom and the others were doing great, and my dad came to try to find me. So, Bando (not his actual name, but I call him that, just as he calls me Thoreau, whoever that is, from our first impressions of each other), well, he and my dad met, and they get along really well. It was snug in the tree, but I liked having company after so long alone up here. My house, that I made to fit only me, is a tight squeeze for all of us though, because I didn't design it for company in the first place. Somehow that makes me sad. Christmas was amazing, and they both stayed for a couple more days, and then they left. My dad was sad to go, and I think now he loves the woods almost as much as I do. I am a little surprised he left without taking me with him to be honest . . .
Now that they are gone, I feel alone for the first time in a while. What will I do now? . . . .
Haha, Frightful just gave me a very POINTED reminder that I have never been completely alone. Good old girl.
