A pale, pink-haired boy was sleeping and snoring loudly on the grassy grounds, the rest of his surroundings looking oddly pixelated. Besides him was his best friend, Notion, who resembled a human although wasn't quite one. He didn't care about that, though—friends come in all shapes and sizes! He simply slept without a dream, quickly waking up with an energetic jolt. "Good-morning, Notion!" He happily greeted, stretching and yawning. "Morning..." They mumbled back, looking off to the side despite having no eyes on their face. Rather, all of their eyeballs remained in their hair. To many this could come off as unsettling, but of course, innocent Nonsense didn't mind.

"How are you?" He energetically asked, obviously doing well. The key around his neck lunged forward due to his movements. Notion nervously looked to the side which he knew wasn't a good sign. "...Did something happen?" They remained silent, twiddling their thumbs. "You can tell me anything-" "The day of reckoning is coming, and I can't tell when it'll happen." "...Dude..." He had a look of spreading concern, the multiple eyes concealed in their hair appearing guilty for telling him. "...I don't know what you're talking about, but... I think you just had a bad dream." They nodded, deciding to accept his interpretation of their events. "See! What's matters most is that it was all a dream, and none of that was really real... No matter what happened, everything will be fine here!" They again simply nodded, seeming to feel better. "Whew, now that that's settled..."

"...I'm hungry." He predictably said, looking at Notion expectantly. Wordlessly they grabbed a backpack full of rations, although once opened, discovered there were no more snacks inside. "...Nonsense... Did you eat all the chips last night?" "...Well... I was hungry then, too!" They made no reaction, simply getting up and turning towards the horizon. He perked up, sensing they were going to go on an adventure! "Ooh, where are we headed?!" "To the store." They casually replied, walking forward knowing he would catch up and outrun them. As expected, he smiled determinedly and sprinted towards where Notion seemed to be going. "...Actually, the store is that way." They pointed towards another area they were looking at. "Oh!" As quick as he could, he reversed his momentum and sped down the hill they specified. "Be careful..." They quietly warned, keeping up with his pace somehow.

The sprawling fields were empty, only consisting of shades of green blades of grass. The sky was consistently bright blue, and clouds were unmoving. He waved to one that looked like a duck, and it waved back. "What a great day, isn't it?!" He turned and asked Notion while still dashing ahead. Predictably, he tripped down a hillside and cartoonishly stumbled down it, making various "OOH!" and "OW!" sounds all the way down. Eventually he landed in a flower bed which luckily softened his fall, although it didn't spare him from gaining a few extra bruises. If it weren't for his hunger, he would've laughed, now on the verge of crying.

Notion rushed down as cautiously as possible, a pack of premediated band aids in their hand. All four of their eyes were widened, shocked by the sudden yet expected fall. "I told you to be careful..." "I know!" He replied, irritated. Quickly, they applied the colorful band aids to his legs and arms, helping him calm down. Shaking his head violently as if that would fling all of his thoughts out of his ears to find new ones, he observed where he was and suddenly admired the flowers. "Ooh..." He was particularly attracted to one with an eye for a pistil. "Hey, this looks like you...!" Notion strolled over, crouching and trying to discern what he meant. Oddly enough, it was black, white, and grey like their color scheme.

"Cool..." They mumbled, getting up to turn away. "Where are you going?" Nonsense genuinely asked, forgetting for a brief moment why they came. "...Food." They shortly reminded, walking slightly faster. "Ohhhhh... Right! Sorry." "No need to be..." Together they again took off, observing mysterious angelic figures in the sky yet not saying a word about them.

A few minutes went by with the scenery transitioning into clover meadows and stone paths inscribed with unintelligible symbols. A few cobblestones floated in midair, threatening to throw themselves at anyone passing by at any moment. He slowly grew impatient, not fazed by any of the floating text or censored beyond comprehensible emojis. "Are we there yet?" He asked, hoping the answer would be yes. "Almost." The fact they were nearing their stop reinvigorated his determination, running forwards rather than walking.
