My name is Rachel. I'm not exactly considered "popular" in school. I have a few friends but its not like everybody knows of me, even though, I know of almost everyone. I guess you could say i'm one of those shy girls that notice everything but never say a word.
I always had this one best friend, Karly, who I talked to all of the time. We would text a lot and video chat and all of that good stuff. She played games that she suggested I try, and of course, I did. We both met a lot of people online and most of them were nice. Me being as ugly as I am (I have a low self esteem), was never liked by anyone, therefore, I never had a boyfriend.
My aspect on love is pretty special. It can make anybody happy, if it's actually love. Most people do not understand love until they act mature. Well, I guess you could say I am mature, but I'm not the age you would expect me to be to see so much into love.
I've learned from experience that love honestly isn't about looks. If you are dating a guy that is really hot but treats you awfully, you aren't in love, you just want to keep him because he is really good looking. Things like that are hard to go through, really hard. After its over you feel like a complete idiot for ever liking someone like him.
Everyone learns at least SOMETHING from their mistakes. Eventually you will find the one that actually loves you, no matter how he looks, and I know that's what I found.
I've only dated guys online. Now, people always ask me things like "Do you date people online because you can't get a boyfriend in real life?" No. That's not true at all. I've had several chances with guys, I just had no interests in any of them. I met Sam through Karly because she met him playing an online game. I talked to him, and even though he had a girlfriend, I really liked him.
Sam and I haven't talked for a while afterwards until I started talking to him again. It was nothing personal, it was just that we were both in our own relationships at the time. Turns out he broke up with his gf and I broke up with my bf, and I took the chance to ask him out. He isn't the cutest guy ever, but his personality is outstanding.
He said why not, and that is where it all started.
