annabeth felt herself crash into a firm steady body. "fuck" she tumbled to the floor droppping her mid week groceries. celsius, kombucha and several cans on pineapple. the man laughed and her stomach warmed.
"you okay?" he asked. his voice was deep and soothing .his tanned skin and pitch black hair juxtaposed with his bright eyes and teeth complimented his strong jaw, he was the most gorgeous man annabeth had ever seen.
"mhm" she gazed into his eyes. after a few seconds his gaze shifted across her person. "who are you?" it was a stupid question. she knew as much the second she said it.
"my names percy, im a sophomore marine bio major, swimmer, any more questions love?"
"oh" she didn't know what to say. she didn't like not knowing what to say.
"who are you?" he winked.
"anna," not entirely a lie. "i'm a sophomore and an architecture major." he smiled at her
"what got you into architecture?" his eyes bore into her.
she blushed. "i like the control. and deliberately creating things." she blushed deeper. "to help people, you know."
"reader?" his eyes slid across the book sticking out of her bag. she nodded her head. he craned his neck to read the cover. " don't trust luke."
her jaw dropped "you're luky i already finished it." she scowled. asshole. he tossed his head back laughing.
"the meticulous little notes told me as much." he winked
"oh" she blushed. "you've read it?"
"mhm" he grinned at her. "at least 3 times."
"so what are you at the grocery store for?" her gaze slid down his thick arms. "shark gummies and seaweed?" she giggled
"they're blue" he shrugged.
"blue?"
"yeah" he said defensively.
she began walking toward the self checkout. because he seemed uninterested, but he followed. "are you busy this saturday? my buddies kind of a hosting this thing" he said lamely.
"oh?"
he handed her his phone. "and i'd like to see you again. if you give me your number i can send you the details if you'd like." he was nervous. and once she was holding his phone quickly scanned his groceries.
"let me know." she glanced down at his groceries again "seaweed brain." he rolled his eyes. she shoved his phone back in his hand. he exhaled.
"see ya" he winked.
"good bye." she bagged her groceries. "it was... nice to meet you." he grinned back at her.
