15. Birth-father

Bright looked at Dew blushing with his mouth slightly open,

"Don't joke like that Dew." He said and look down. 

Dew extended his hand and lift Bright face by the chin,

"I'm not joking around baby, I have loved you for a long time... It's just You are too oblivious to notice."

Bright just doesn't know what to say so he looks everywhere except Dew to avoid the soft stare.

Suddenly Dew dropped to his knee and pulled out a ring with a nervous but blushing face,

"So Bright, um what do you think of uhm becoming my boyfriend?" He asked but he didn't surprise when he saw the latter eyes widen.

Befriend for so long Dew knows Bright very well. What he does know is what the others want. Bright loves surprise, he loves unexpected but romantic moments.

"Dew I--" Bright nervously open his mouth but Dew cut him off,

"I've loved you for so long, wouldn't you give me a chance? No, I understand, I get it Bright. I'm sorry." Dew looks down defeated.

He was about to take the ring into his pocket when Bright it and put it on his ring finger with a smile,

"I don't say anything, I was about to say but you interrupting with your stupid rant."

Dew suddenly jumped up and pull Bright into a bone-cracking hug. He bend down and plants a kiss on the latter neck which made Bright jump in startled.

"Thank you... Oh, I've good news."Dew pulls out of the hug and takes out a ticket.

Bright takes it and is shocked, "you are coming with us?"

"Yes, my Dad said Mom was sick so he wants me there and I want to be with you. Isn't it good news?"

"But ain't you live with your parents here." Bright asked with confusion.

They may have been friends from their childhood but Bright and Kaothang don't know anything about him, he never told them, and even if they asked he always avoid the question. He never let them enter his house, don't even allow them to touch his mobile phone. At first, they feel strange so they tried to stay away from him only to be approached by Dew and get closer.

"Er..." Dew seems lost but continues nervously, "No, I live with ...my grandparents, Yes my grandparents." He stutteringly finishes his words with a whisper in the last part.

Bright frown hearing it but shrug it off and continue their talk until the other three enter the room and command Bright to come with them.

Unwillingly Bright goes with his family to a cemetery. Confused, Bright follows the elders and soon they reach a tomb which writes,

            'Off Jumpol Adulkittiporn

                 From: 1981-2004'

Upon seeing the name, Bright remember the earlier Daily and thought,

'Isn't this name the same as the one that gives the Daily package?'

"This is for your father, birth-father, mine and your Uncle Pluem's elder brother, Off," New said softly with fat tears rolling down from his eyes.

Bright seems to be in deep thought but quickly turns to his father with wide eyes.

"Yes Bright. The Dialy you get today was given by your father before he..he..."

"My father dies... My father already dies..." Bright said softly to himself between his sobs then falls to his knees and start sobbing. Kaothang also sits on his knees and hugs the sobbing boy but Bright stays still with his hands on his lap, crying.

Seeing his son's heartbroken sight, New sit down at his son's level and embrace him which Bright almost immediately returns, completely sitting down on the ground, crying in his Dada embrace. Not knowing what to do Kaothang just sat and watch everyone crying.

Pluem tries to hide his tears but Foei pulled him into a hug to let out his whole feeling. He misses his elder brother so much, it's been years since he died. He and New were like a parent to him as his stepmother and father didn't look at him as a child of them. Off is always a father figure for New too. But in his cruel world, how can a good person, an angel be able to stay?

After some time they leave. Upon reaching the home, Bright went up to his room and fell on his face. But wake up anxiously as if he remembers something and walks toward his nightstand and takes out the Dad's Daily which he left earlier and starts reading by lying on his stomach,

'Hi, my son? ( Maybe I should call you Bright (◠‿◕) )

You know I'm your Dad. Hehe ... Although I'm just 18, I already want to marry, have a kid and make a happy family with the love of my life, Gun Atthaphan Phunsawat. We have been dating from our 5th standard but in secret.

And tomorrow his father invites me for dinner to discuss our engagement. He said his sister found out about us and told to his parent. I'm, to be honest very nervous but happy at the same time as we won't hide out relation from other.'

After reading Bright smiles so brightly that it makes New who stays in the doorway watching him worried.

New who stands there watching his son and crying,

"After reading the daily, he will start hating me..."

"What are you talking about, New? Why would he...?" Foei asked confusedly.

"It's all start with me, his death is also my fault and..."

"Oh New... Why would you think like that?"

"Because it is..."
