Warning readers, you are almost completely certain to start hating Mori more than you probably already did after this chapter.
I also feel the need to add a potential angst warning.
Now, without further ado, enjoy.
Before long, Chuuya had been cleared to go by Yosano.
"I'd say don't get yourself into these situations anymore, but I know it's not that simple. All I can say is try your best to stay safe. That goes for your two friends as well," Yosano directed.
"Will do, doc. Thanks again," Chuuya replied.
"You're welcome," Yosano said, waving.
Chuuya, Akutagawa, and Q waved back and then began to leave the agency's headquarters.
Chuuya felt very determined. Time to put his plan into action. Mori was going to answer for what he did. And he wasn't going to do anything more to any of the three musketeers. Believe it.
Akutagawa was half-full of resolve and half-full of fear. Mori could pretty much do anything to the three of them. But he'd be darned if he let that stop him.
As for Q, they were mostly just angry. How dare the big bad Mori think he had the right to hurt Chuuya? The nerve of some people...Q would make Mori regret this.
Feeling a vast range of emotions, the three of them continued their walk towards the Mafia's headquarters. They were soldiering on, so to speak. They were marching into the battlefield and hoping they would emerge victorious against their mortal enemy that was Mori. True, the odds may be against them. But no matter. They would win somehow.
Before long, Chuuya, Akutagawa, and Q finally reached the Mafia's headquarters.
"Remember the plan, guys," Chuuya instructed.
"Right," Akutagawa and Q replied in unison.
Chuuya gave a thumbs-up and then cautiously entered the building. The three of them became so quiet they could rival mice. They continued on towards Mori's office.
"Ok guys, hide," Chuuya whispered.
Akutagawa and Q nodded and did as they were instructed, hiding right outside the office.
Once Chuuya was sure Akutagawa and Q were hidden well, he entered Mori's office and looked around. Mori appeared to not be there. Odd...
Chuuya began to glance around. Where was Mori? Had he maybe taken the day off? It was possible, but then again, he rarely took a day off. This was too confusing. Maybe this hadn't been a good day to plan a confrontation. Nope, this is perfect, Chuuya thought. I'm going to get some answers.
Speak of the devil.
Just then, Mori entered the office and cleared his throat.
Chuuya jumped, then turned to see Mori. He tried to hide the fear that was currently plaguing him.
"I see you've returned," Mori noted.
Chuuya nodded.
"What kept you away for so long?" Mori asked.
Is this guy serious right now? Chuuya thought, annoyed. "Funny story, I was hanging out with Akutagawa and Q awhile back, and then some guy came out of nowhere and started calling me a traitor and then shot me twice. I had to go get that taken care of. And I wonder if you had something to do with it?"
Mori feigned shock. "Is that so?"
"Yes," Chuuya confirmed.
"I wonder who could've thought something like that," Mori continued.
