It is a beautiful day in New York and Amanda is in her bedroom getting ready for the day. She is 5 months pregnant and she is getting herself ready for the day before she tackles her 3-year-old daughter Jesse. Her husband Declan is making pancakes and Jesse is watching him.

"Pancakes, Daddy." Jesse says, excitedly.

"Coming right up, Princess," Declan answers, smiling.

Soon, the pancakes are cooked to perfection and the three eat their breakfast. After breakfast, they finished getting ready because it was Jesse's first day of preschool. Amanda dresses her in a cute shirt and comfortable pants as Declan grabs Jesse's backpack and lunchbox. Soon, Jesse was all dressed and ready for her first day of preschool. Amanda takes the obligatory first day of school photos so she can share them with everyone at work. Then before they leave their apartment, Amanda walks into the bathroom because she needed to pee before they left.

"Mommy will be back, Jesse." Declan says.

"Is she going to use the potty, Daddy?" Jesse asks.

"That's right." Declan says.

In the bathroom, Amanda pulls down her pants and underwear and sits on the toilet. She hadn't waited too long this time, so it wasn't an emergency. Then a trickle started and it turned into a stream. But it didn't take too long to finish. Amanda smiles, finishes up and meets up with Declan and Jesse in the living room. Soon, they leave the apartment and head to the preschool.

A few minutes later, they arrive at the preschool and Declan and Amanda walk Jesse in to meet her teacher. Her teacher is Ms. Ashley and Jesse acts all shy at first. Then Jesse introduces herself and then she starts jumping up and down excitedly.

"Someone's excited." Ms. Ashley says.

"She's never been to school before so she's probably going to be a little hyper today," Amanda says.

"Yep. Jesse's getting to be a big girl." Declan says.

Then Amanda becomes emotional. She can't believe her little girl is old enough for school. She dug a tissue out of her purse to wipe her eyes.

"Mommy's crying." Jesse says.

"Yes. Mommy is crying happy tears," Amanda says.

Jesse runs up to Amanda and gives her a hug.

"Mommy, don't cry. I'm a big girl." Jesse says.

"I know, that's why I'm crying. You're still my little baby."

Jesse frowns. "I'm not a baby. I'm a big girl."

"Okay, Jesse. Mommy and Daddy have to leave now. We'll pick you up as soon as school is over." Declan says.

"Okay. Bye-bye, Mommy and Daddy. I love you." Jesse says and then blows a kiss at them.

Amanda cries even more. Ms. Ashley notices that Amanda is so overcome with emotions.

"Mrs. Murphy, Jesse will be fine. We'll take good care of her. Take a few tissues." Ms. Ashley says.

Ms. Ashley gives Amanda a few tissues to dry her tears.

"I know.  It's just that she's my first baby and she's going to school for the first time." Amanda says, still wiping her tears.

"My wife is pregnant, and she can cry at the littlest things," Declan explains.

"Oh, congratulations. Jesse must be excited." Ms. Ashley says.

"Yes, she is. She wants a baby sister." Declan says.
