It was three days before I could actually get up the courage to talk to Max again. It was just awkward what happened between us.

I went to hang out with Chelsea for the day. "So, what does the day hold?" Asked Chelsea.

"I have no clue, but it has been a while since we hung out." Chelsea said.

I felt bad because of me dodging Max, I had to dodge her too. She is a really good friend and I don't want to disappoint her anymore.

"We have to do something fun though, how about that." I said to her. "The beach or the springs, you choose."

"Springs and so much less sandier and my bf will be there." She decided.

"Let's go. It will be more relaxing." I said.

We walked to the springs and Chelsea was going on about her time with her bf in my absence. I tried to say little words like 'oh' and 'yeah' to make it seem like I was interested.

All I could think about was if I run into him. It was a big distraction that I didn't even know we were there until Chelsea waved her hand in my face to try and get my attention.

"Well let's go we're here." She said.

'"Ok, where to first?" I asked.

"Over there." She said pointing straight at where her bf was and to my shock so was Max.

I think I went on full on panic mode because I think I didn't breathe the whole walk over to them.

We settled in and I suddenly found myself right next to Max.

"Hey Jess, missed you these past few days." He said.

"I was around, I just happened to be where you weren't." I said.

"Great now we can catch up on what happened." He said cockily.

I was so into the little conversation I was having with Max, that I didn't even realize Chelsea totally ditched me. Awesome for her to do that.

"Hey you remember when I said I won't forget what we did." He said as he put his arm around me and my heart quickened. I knew exactly what he was going to do and I'm not sure if I wanted to stop him.

He moved so quickly I didn't know what hit me. He grabbed me and next thing I knew we both were under water. So not what I expected.

I came up and gasped for air. "What the hell was that for?" I said angrily.

"Something to break the silly little trance you were in." He said innocently.

I wanted to be so mad at him but all I could do was laugh and that's what got us in trouble the first place.

I moved to the other side of the spring to get some distance between us.

"That was totally uncool." I said to him.

"Well you know me" was all he said.

I was kind of glad he did that because I was no longer angry with him.

"If you try and do something like that again, you're dead." I said "so do you want to go to the beach since Chels totally ditched me."

"As long as this time you go in the water." He said slyly.

"Deal." I said.

If felt good to not to have to avoid him anymore. I just hate to think where he would be if I wasn't there to pick him up anymore.

When we reached the beach I spotted my best friend who ditched me. Of course she would follow him anywhere. Come to think of it I don't even know this guy's name. I wonder if she even knows.
