-+Sarina's POV(!!!!!)+-

Self preservation is the strongest feeling I've ever had. The will to survive. The need to survive. But not to really live. My only thoughts were to make it day by day and just see another sunrise. Now though, it seemed, my thoughts were changing.

I was starting to wonder if others would make it to another sunrise. Hallsy, Myles, and most recently my father. I was caring about others and it was a strange feeling. But also a slightly welcome feeling.

I woke with these strange revelations. I couldn't have slept more than hour but I felt rejuvenated. I hugged my father goodbye and began a silent trip to the cell that was now home. My minds wanderings were lulled into the back of my mind when I caught a faint noise. What was that? Water? Wind?

Footsteps.

Barely scuffing the cement.

Getting louder.

I ducked into a small dip in the wall, hoping the gaurd would go the other way. When he didn't I began planning and trying to come up with a plan of attack. But I couldn't see him, was he drunk? Did he have a limp? Details I didn't have but need.

All my hatching plans and theories went out the window when I heard a jingle of keys. Maybe if I get keys I can find a way out quicker. But I haven't really been giving my mission all that much thought lately. I really need to stop with this whole 'emotion' thing. Its rather distracting.

I looked around for a weapon but found none. But I did notice that I was awfully close to the cell Myles would still be in. In fact it would right around the corner. Around corner and a few feet... And exactly where the gaurd is standing. By my sense of hearing and smell that's exactly where he is- right outside the door. And he's playing with keys. Dammit. I can't have him finding out I'm not in there. But what if he doesn't know I'm suppose to be in there?

I wait. He slides the key in and turns it. I hear the door squeak lightly open. A few footsteps. A rough grunt. Followed by a voice- not Myles. Then another voice- Myles. A hard smack. A shout- clear as day- "Where the fuck is he?"

Time to move in.

I take large silent steps and slide next to the door. I listen.

"I don't know who you're talking about." Myles said.

"You know exactly who I'm talking about, fairy. You want me to get the rest of 'em and go hunting? We'll have a right picnic when we find that little shit."

I step into the doorway to see Myles with a scowl and a hand on his face. His cheek was blooming red under his hand. The gaurd was standing just a step in front of me.

Before Myles- who saw me right away- could even react I had taken the necessary step to meet the man's back. He was only a few inches taller than me so I used my tiptoes to reach the same height. I wrapped an arm around his head, so his chin was craddled in my elbow, and placed the other hand on his shoulder. I pulled back with both arms and- SNAP. His neck twisted at an unnatural rate and he slumped to the ground.

Myles looked a little shocked but also impressed. "You should've had some snappy comment, like "shit's right here, bitch". Like they do in movies."

I furrowed my brow, "Why would they do that? It lets the person know you're there. That gives the person time to react, that's ridiculous. If you really want to kill someone, you surprise attack them. Basic defense/offense." I grabbed the man's key ring and went through his pockets.

"What? No, you gotta have honor in the movies. Don't you know that? The hero has to have a moral code that's different from the bad guys. Good over evil, you know?" He shrugged and started helping me take the man's clothes off.
