"How do I look?"

Darnell turned his attention away from the mirror in the upstairs bathroom. Managing to comb back his hair neatly, before moving his chocolate gaze over to his best friend of over a decade standing out in the hall. Keith stood in front of the dark-haired boy, standing tall and proud in a suit and tie. It was the same one he wore the previous year. A growth spurt occurred from his tenth to eleventh year that caused his previous outfit to be too small on him. Luckily, he seemed to stop growing from then on. He was tired of having to get new clothes all of the time, especially since suits were rather expensive.

The blue boy stood with his hands gripping the lapels of the black suit that he wore. It fit him nicely, as it was all adorned with a bright blue tie that was tucked inside of the button up jacket he wore. A white dress shirt underneath, visible only from his wrists and tie that was around the collar area. Silver cufflinks secured his shirt above his jacket for a more professional look. Deciding to ditch his hat for once, he had his hair combed neatly in a single direction across his head to the side. He added a little bit of gel to make sure that it stayed that way, as his hair was short, but long enough to flop into his face if not held back by his hat.

"Like a dork." Darnell chuckled lowly, shoulders shaking in laughter as he went back to looking at himself in the mirror. He could almost hear the pout that spouted from the male next to him. He should have known that insult would be thrown at the invitation. In actuality, the aquamarine-haired boy did look pretty good in a suit. The matching tie did wonders to bring out his cyan hair color much more than before, in addition to his green eyes. He never wanted to admit that, though. He'd tease him until the end of time.

Keith dropped his arms to his sides at the shot to his pride. He knew that his friend didn't mean it, but he still needed a secondary opinion on his look. "Come on, Dude, seriously!" He tried again, giving himself a once-over to make sure that he was spic-and-span. He wanted to make sure that he didn't have a piece of lint or a loose cyan hair on his outfit. "Do I look ok?" Keith asked a little differently, hoping to get a real answer this time, brushing the imaginary dust off his jacket.

Darnell shook his head, another curt laughter escaping his throat at the nervous sight before him. He could easily tell that Keith was trying too hard to look his absolute best for his certain redheaded love interest. It wasn't obvious, but the other years that he's been with him during homecoming and prom he didn't put this much effort in his appearance before.

He would normally wear his suit, un-ironed, and barely comb back his aqua locks, whining at the idea that he wouldn't be allowed to wear his hat. Not that Cherry would mind, she always had a soft spot for their red-capped wearing friend. Darnell could tell when Keith was putting an attempt in to make himself look presentable. Now, he looked like he was about to attend a wedding. The nervousness that bled off the other boy was near alarming and almost seeping into his own consciousness. He had to keep a cool head; he didn't want to be too abashed himself when he picks up Cherry.

The taller male finished off his hair to style upwards neatly before going off to attend to the pouty boy next to him. "What, Man?" He nearly slumped at the display before him. "You want me to pretend to be Pico for you?" He asked, already taking the part, and not waiting for a response. Raising a hand to his forehead and pretending to be feint. "Oh, Keith~! You look so fucking sexy~!" Darnell couldn't contain a burst of laughter to escape him at his own poor imitation of the quiet ginger, arms wrapping around his stomach to help hold himself from falling to the floor.

The said cyan male felt a rush of red float across his cheeks at the horrible teasing at his precious angel just a few houses down from his own. To aid in that flush, Keith grimaced in anger at the comment. There was no way that he could ever imagine his beautiful ginger saying something like that. His timid nature would never allow it. He doesn't think he has ever even heard him say or text the word 'sexy' before during his entire time knowing the boy. "DUDE!" He shouted back, shoulders raising to help hide the embarrassment. "He wouldn't say that! Ugh! You're no help!" He pouted helplessly, waltzing into the same bathroom beside the doubled over male. Using that same mirror, he tried to make sure that everything was in order and nothing out of place.
