Chapter 16

One week later.

They were back at their daily schedules. Shehnaaz finally shifted back to her apartment as her door lock was now repaired and still she didn't understand what took so long to repair it.

She even asked the man who was responsible for the job and he replied, "Madam, your door lock was completely broken I had to look for the perfect lock for the door so it took me time to repair it." She wasn't convinced but didn't say anything.

Sidharth was busy with college and assignments that he didn't get any time to talk to Shehnaaz. It wasn't intentional but he knew she must be really upset about it and he was right.

At first, Shehnaaz herself went to talk to him but he always said he was busy. She understood but when he didn't even reply to her messages frequently as he used to she thought maybe she's annoying him so she gave up.

Sidharth wanted to meet her and clear the differences but he didn't know how because just a minute before she royally ignored her when he walked up in the canteen to talk to her.

She literally rolled her eyes at him and walked passed him giving the taste of his own medicine. Shruti used to enjoy their "nok-jhoks" like her own personal entertainment. She even used to call and text Vivan about it and how great it would be if Sidharth and Shehnaaz get together while Vivan used to agree.

Vivan had never seen his brother doing so much for anyone other than his own family though Shehnaaz was also their family now but doing so much for a girl ? Well Sidharth has been a big no no person for that. It wasn't like he had any hatred towards women but he didn't want to give any other women place in his heart other than his mother but looks like his plan failed after meeting Shehnaaz. She not only loved his mother like her own but sometimes looked like she did even more than him. There were times when they used to live together, Shehnaaz would give head messages to his mother, he has never seen any other women doing that for his mother. Well, Vivan was happy for his brother.

While things looked quite a bit messed up between the duo, the restlessness of meeting each other and talk non-stop for hours felt like the only medicine to their longing souls. Both were confused about their new found feeling. Sidharth was almost at the edge of accepting it while Shehnaaz was in denial. She didn't want to get hurt again. It's not like that she doesn't trust Sidharth but what if something else break them ? What if he doesn't reciprocate the same ? And what if he only did things for her out of friendship and nothing else ? She used to sigh now and then thinking about it.

Meanwhile, the Singhs and the Shuklas were deciding on the date of Shruti's and Vivan's engagement. The couple were on cloud nine with the announcement. While Shruti got already busy with her shopping dragging Shehnaaz along, Vivan on the other side worked hard to complete his works within due time so that he can get himself groom ready for her soon to be fiance or soon to be wife. Rita was so shocked to see the new change in Vivan. Earlier he used to work hard for the company and himself but now seeing him doing things for someone else made her heart happy. She just thanked god for all the happiness.

Finally the date was decided, 11th of May. The families and the couple was excited. Mostly excited were SidNaaz. Finally they were going to be under the same roof and there was no chance of ignoring each other. They both were happy but no one showed it in front of everyone as if no one knew that already.

The families were busy with the preparations. While Shruti and Vivan were getting ready in their houses respectively.

Sidharth has found a perfect suit for the event. He was grinning as if it was his engagement. He wondered what was she wearing. He looked worth-drooling handsome. He didn't use any hair gel rather kept his hair messy.
