A/N: There will be a part that you can skip that won't serve a real purpose to the story, it will be marked but it talks about Lottie's work and reasonings for why she do certain things.
Lottie's POV
I dropped Miya and Langa off at their house already. By now, it was probably 1, nearly 2am. Shadow left me- more liked force me into driving the kids home with the excuse of, "I have to return the car back to the shop." I know full well that he owns that car, but I was already too tired to argue with him.
Reki was half asleep when I tried to wake him up.
"What a pain" I quietly mumbled to myself. I didn't necessarily cared if he heard me because chances are, he won't remember this tomorrow. I decided to pick him up via a piggy back ride. He wasn't what I'd call light but, nothing I can't handle.
*knock, knock*
A middle age women opened the door confused and tired. She was shocked and nervous when she saw her child over my shoulder in deep sleep.
"Sorry to bother you, I'm here to bring Reki home."
"*gasp* Oh! Has he been any trouble? He shouldn't even be out, and returning home far past midnight, none less!" She muttered the last part but still loud enough for me to hear.
"Ah, it's fine. He's been quite a joy to be around. I can bring him to his room and then we can talk once he's in bed."
"Of courses! His room is ..."
"Thank you."
After tucking Reki into his bed I walked back to the kitchen, where his mother was waiting, anxiously.
"If you don't mind me asking.. How do you know my son?" So that was what she was concerned about. I laughed, lightening the mood.
"I'm a trusted the guardian of one of his friends, we were just hanging out and said friend, told me Reki's address after he fell asleep. If you're still worried then, I actually known Reki and your family for a while now. I live across the street." The part about living across the street wasn't actually a lie, the part that was, was about knowing for a while. I only noticed once I pulled up in my neighborhood.
"Oh, thank you! I thought that Reki had gotten into trouble or hitchhiked from you." I could tell that the women was more calm after I reinsured her.
"If you ever need help with Reki, whether it's something with having to supervise, babysit, pickup, or even take him to school, I can help with. Free of charge." I was happy to lean a hand to her as I recalled Reki talk about his 3 other sibling. If taking care of him was going to help his mother take care of 4 children, then I was happy to help.
"I'll keep that in mind! Oh, and called me Masae, dear."
"Lottie, and again, call me if you ever need help with Reki." I quickly scribbled my number onto a piece of paper before seeing myself out.
Reki's POV (for once omg?)
'Huh? I don't remember being in bed..' the last I remember was being in Liv's car. Strange. I was awake earlier than usual, I guess that it was from being nervous of my beef today. Getting out of bed, I walked over to my desk to see a post-it note on it. The note was not from myself because of it's neat writing.
"My number if you ever need something, xxx-xxx-xxxx. Share it was Langa or Miya, I don't care. Sleep well."
I quickly went to the kitchen to eat breakfast before heading off to school on my skateboard.
-Time skip- (The anime skipped the school day too)
Lottie's pov
'Hmm, it's more crowded than I thought, I wonder if that's a normal amount or just because of Adam. Probably the latter, perhaps someone would recognize me as 'Color Bop'.. That forsaken name.' Earlier that day, I dyed my hair black again, I was planning to go full natural this time.
"Lottie!" An oddly familiar voice brought me back to my senses, it was the one and only, Cherry.
"Ha! Cherry, what a surprise seeing you here." It actually wasn't that surprising, this was a "big deal," anyways.
"I see you've changed, more confident in your voice, as well as your appearance?"
"Observant as always, I suspect Joe is here as well?" Our conversation was cut short when an extremely extra blue haired individual made his entrance. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he was ugly, oh wait.
He is ugly, and obnoxious.
The both of use quickly skated down, taking different paths. I took a more hidden shortcut while Cherry, took a longer, more clear direction. I pushed my way through the crowd before finding myself between Miya and Langa. 'How convenient'
The crowd was still cheering Adam's name, "Adam! Adam! Adam!" I thought about how extra he was being before Adam flung his shoulder cape around. I held back commenting something, for the sake of knowing I would regret it later and accidentally reveal my voice.
[!!!A/N!!!: next section will explain why Lottie is so careful on keeping her voice a secret, it also explains and justifies her job. It's quite long and doesn't give much to the actually plot of the anime, but rather to Lottie's character.
There will be a 'tldr' at the end, if you aren't interested or into reading long paragraphs that will likely not be expanded or touched on in the future of this fanfic]
My voice was my only true thing hiding my identity, even though it's not much help. As I mentioned before, my profession was being what people considered 'a hacker,' as cliché as it sounds, that was what I did. Now of course I didn't work alone, I worked for a high paying organization that payed based on the work and worker's speed, quality and the difficultly.
It required me to communicate with the client to guarantee to best performance and an idea of what they want. What makes our business so reliable was the use of our real voice for voice recognition on both ends, it was so if either of us were to snitch, then they would pay the price 10x worse.
Of course, because of kind of request we get and of our agreement, our work is illegal. I had morals as I only took requests that were easy, not too cruel, and paid a lot. If I wasn't careful, then someone here may just rat me out.
---End of work thing---
tldr: Lottie's job is illegal and someone could send to jail if there were a past client of her because her voice a way of identification. After zoning out, I realized that Joe and Cherry were now in front of me and Reki and Adam were about to start there beef. They dragged me along side them to watch while fighting like an old married couple on there the best view spot was, sometimes I forgot that we were the same age.
They eventually decided to start at the beginning and go ahead to see the entire race. I, was the least interested one there, this was only the main reasons I stop going. I simply got bored of watching people race, all of their tactics were quite base to say the least.
Miya and Langa were also there, everyone was so tense. I sense that it was because of Adam, 'It seems like this is something I'll need to touch on later, more than what the rumors give.' The race starts and Adam stays back and lights a cigarette, while Reki is skating as fast as he can.
"Totally mocking him" said Miya.

Yayyy, I'm not late.. well, not that late at least, I hope you enjoyed. Um, I don't realy know what else to say without sounding sappy, generic, fake, or just straight out rude/mean, lol.
But good news is, ep.4 will be done by next chapter!!! ..Hopefully.This will have like 20-25 chapters at this rate, geez. This fanfic may a skips in ep. or have special situations that isn't in the canon anime. Just so this feels less like a cardboard cutout of just the anime with a poor excuse of a character with any relevancy or difference to just reading sk8 in a fanfic-ish form.
(Fun Fact: This was suppose to be a longer chapter [1.5k words or so] but I ran out of time to add more. Hence the ending being kind of bad and boring)
word count: 1451
