"Yeah, we're gonna check out a temple today, what about you? what are you going to do?... hiking? nice, let's do that someday, together I mean," Vance was on the phone with his boyfriend, March was sitting next to him in the van and he was tortured just listening to their conversation. "...Just becareful, okay? I want you in one piece... Oh, we're almost there, I'll call you back. Alright, I miss you too". He got off the phone feeling the euphoria then looked at March "he's being so cute."
"So adorable," March respond pretending to be happy for his friend's love life.
They arrived in the Zumuyan temples in the middle of a vast land, it was huge about eight-storey high and it was make of rocks but it was in ruins, there were four different statues that are six feet high at each side where the Zumus were seen praying because they were their Gods. Tourist and cosmic citizen that see the place as an attraction by looking around, taking picture, also pay respects by bowing in front of those Gods and were seen praying as well.
"Wow! this place is amazing," Perfida was astounded at the scenery once she exited the vehicle with the rest then took a picture with it in her phone.
"Yeah," Perdita agreed as she felt the same was as her twin. The fresh air blowing their faces, the soft grasses, and the big hills where the children were playing by running up and rolled back down.
"Look at that, Bryce, do you want to play up there after we finish?"
"Yes!" Bryce said excitingly.
Vance got out last from the van then hissed in pain "Aww... my back hurts," he whined.
"Oh! you think that's painful? well, my heart got stomped on by you," March mumbled in bitterness behind him so he won't hear it, Perfida punched his arm a little from saying that, Perdita was giggling at the side.
"Let's go inside," Ram told them.
They entered the temple at a wide doorway and was wowed at the interior from its intricate carving on the walls with few more statue that were visibly preserved by the Zumus. All of a sudden, once everyone were inside, Perdita couldn't like there was an invisible wall blocking her way "what the...? Peach!" she called her sister.
"What?" Perfida turned around and saw her sister was still outside.
"I can't get in."
"Huh? what do you mean"
"I can't get in. Look," Perdita showed her, Perfida was baffled that there was some force that was preventing her to enter.
"What's wrong?" Vance asked by whispering.
"My sister can't get inside," Perfida answered.
"Why is that?"
"Is something wrong?" Torrey asked the two kids who were whispering, only Archie knew that it wasn't true yet he did not know what was going on.
"Nothing," the two teens panicked a bit.
"I... I was just telling him that this place is awesome," Perfida lied while Vance just nodded to make her statement true.
"It is, isn't it?" Ram said. "There's a reason why this was built, it was to be protected, any guesses from what?"
"Uhm... animals?" March guessed.
"Uh... no but that's possible. It was from lost spirit."
"Ooohh," Vance and Perfida turned their heads to the doorway where Perdita was still there, she frowned that it was built to keep something like her outside.
"Although, they believe that lost souls are dangerous or whatever, I wonder if it works?"
"Oh, it does," Perfida cringed then mouthed sorry to her sister.
