I am woken by the sounds of birds chirping and the quiet mumbles of people. Blinking slowly I am met by a flustered Naruto and Sakura who both are staring at me in shock. Looking at them confused, I let out a little yawn rubbing my eyes, then lift up my head which was resting on the white-haired jonin's shoulder. I then turn to see Kakashi, who seems to be barely waking up as well.

It then hit me. They were looking at me resting on Kakashi.

"Our Senseis are sleeping with each other!?" Naruto whisper yells to Sakura as if I totally couldn't hear him. Sakura nods, "Yeah! They are super cute though, I hope me and Sasuke can be like that someday," She swoons. I somewhat cringe at the comment but ignore it.

"Rest assured we weren't sleeping with each other in the way you two are thinking of. (Y/N) and I merely stayed up through each other's shifts and passed out while staying up with Sasuke."

Naruto looks back and forth between the two of us, definitely a bit skeptical of the situation brought before him. Just as the boy was about to speak up again, a tired Sasuke, and a jealous Kei walk over.

"Good morning Kakashi Sensei, (Y/N) Sensei," Sasuke speaks as he nods over to Naruto and Sakura.

I sigh softly looking at him. I didn't really like when he referred to me as (Y/N) Sensei. It is always just so odd to me.

"Soooo," Kei speaks, "What were you four talking about?" Her voice was annoying as usual. You could just tell she was straining it.

"Oh! Good morning Kei Miko! We were just talking about how Kakashi Sensei and (Y/N) Sensei were sleeping together," Naruto says, I deadpan at the boy as I glance over to Kei who seemed to become increasingly annoyed by the words spewing from his mouth.

Looking over to Sasuke I mouth the word 'help' in hopes of him backing us up. We didn't do anything wrong to begin with, we simply fell asleep in each other's company. Technically, yes, we did sleep together, but we didn't reallyyyy sleep with each other. Either way, I really didn't want to deal with Kei being more of an annoyance than she already is.

"When I woke for my shift they were both up standing guard. I let them know it was my turn but they couldn't sleep so we all sat down together and the two of them ended up falling asleep. Admittedly, I too did fall asleep, but that's besides the point, I still ended my shift in time, and woke Sakura up for her's. That was really it," He says,  standing with his hands in his pocket and shooting me a little wink.

For a second I can hear the quiet sound of Kei huffing to herself. However, before she could speak up, Kakashi begins speaking to us all.

"We shall depart in 10," He says. We all abide, quickly packing up our gear, and tearing down the small camp.

With that we were off once more. As time quickly passed we reached the far far outskirts of the Land of Lightning. We were close to Kumogakure at this point.

Something felt a little odd the more we proceeded however. It was almost like we had been followed. I send a small signal to Kakashi, which he definitely picks up on but doesn't alert the rest of the team in order to make it seem as if we don't know we are indeed being followed. It was growing increasingly cloudy as we proceeded into the tall ranges of mountains that lead to Kumogakure. This would definitely leave us with a disadvantage. The people following us definitely know the area, while we do not.

We could get attacked at any point. Kakashi was well aware of this, however, the person leading us wasn't Kakashi, but a substitution of him. The real him was hiding, following us silently from a distance.

A few minutes later 3 men jump in front of us, stopping us in our tracks. They had their faces covered with masks. Two of them wore headbands belonging to The Cloud Village while one wore a headband belonging to The Mist Village.

"All we ask of you is to hand us Kei Miko and you will be free to go." The man with the mist headband says.

"Now why would we do that? What do you want with her?" Kakashi's clone speaks.

The three men share a glance and throw a kunai at the clone. The clone doesn't dodge and poofs into a pile of rocks and stone on the floor. The men growl in confusion as Kakashi leaps down from behind them and begins taking them all on at once.

Naruto and Sasuke quickly rush over to aide their Sensei as Sakura rushes over to a shaken Kei and pulls her to safety.

Within a few minutes the three men were out cold on the floor. The three kids were cheering.

"We must keep our guard up from here on. There is something off about this C-Rank mission." I say, Kakashi nods in reply.

We made our way back to Konohagakure. The sun was blazing, it's rays beating down against our skin.

The mood between us wasn't happy, nor sad. We all seemed to be off in our own thoughts, Kakashi especially. After dropping off Kei Miko safely to the shrine, we were thanked and relieved of our duties.

Even though we completed our mission, something still seemed off. There were a few things that went unanswered, like why this was only a C-Ranked mission when Kei was clearly being targeted.

It was weird. This needed to be brought up to the Hokage as soon as possible.

hii this is kind of a weird place to leave off but i promise to be updating more often now ! i have been so busy this past week ! i graduated from hs last friday and even went to disneyland the other day for our gradnite and it was super fun !
