Sickie/Little: Chan

Caregivers: 2basco

No one's POV.:

As summer was coming to an end, Stray Kids were finishing up with shooting their summer-themed content and moved on to fall-themed photo shootings. Their last summery shoot had been some outside games, which had as always ended chaotic but would surely make Stay laugh. They had had an intense water fight that evening, which had been a nice way to bid summer goodbye. It had been a bit windy and by the time they called quits, most of them were shivering in their soaked clothes. Not wanting any of the members to get sick, Chan had ushered them inside to take a shower and put on some dry clothes, so they could have a barbeque and wouldn't feel cold during dinner. As his dongsaengs were taking turns showering, Chan set about preparing their dinner. With his hair air-drying, his curls were all over the place and the leader smiled when someone patted his head with a giggle. He turned to find Minho, the dancer informing: "The bathroom's free now, so how about I take over here and you go wash up?" – "Ah, thanks. Everything's mostly ready and the meat is in the fridge", Chan smiled, "Be back in a moment."

He hadn't wanted to admit it but he too had caught a bit of a chill and the air conditioning in their dorm hadn't necessarily done him any favor. Chan was freezing and walked to the bathroom much faster than he usually would've, desperate to warm up. The warm shower water felt amazing and the turned the temperature higher but had to realize that it stung his skin. He hadn't thought that he'd get sun burnt today but here he was. It wasn't too bad but the skin on Chan's shoulders felt too sensitive for him to turn the water temperature higher and showering only lukewarm didn't help him rid himself of the goosebumps. Since the shower didn't help him feel any warmer anyway, the leader quickly washed up, so they could have dinner together. While most of the members had dressed in sweatpants and thin shirts, Chan had paired his sweatpants with a thick hoodie, hoping to quell the little shivers shaking his tired form. They had really used up all their energy chasing each other around with their water guns.

Chan was delighted to find that Minho and Changbin had already set up the grill and all he had to do was sit down with his dongsaengs. Not that he would've had the energy to do much more than that, finding himself wiped after getting dressed again. His head had started to ache and Chan grabbed himself some water, figuring he was a bit dehydrated from a long day of playing in the late summer sun. The leader winced as his group mates bickering grew in volume but gave Jeongin a smile, when the maknae tiredly rested his head on his shoulder. Seems like he wasn't the only one, who had tired himself out. "Guys, tone it down a bit, yeah?", Chan asked softly, running his hand through Jeongin's shower-damp hair. The youngest smiled, making the other members coo. Though they were still teasing each other, they kept their voices relatively quiet, at least for their standards.

The group enjoyed their dinner and sat together reminiscing fond memories till late into the night before cleaning up and heading to their rooms to sleep. With all of them run down from the long day of shooting, the lights were off relatively early but Chan didn't complain about having an early bedtime for once. His headache hadn't fully gone away by the time he went to bed but figured sleep would fix it. Sleep however, hadn't fixed anything. They had the following day off, so when the Aussie realized it was still incredibly early by the time he woke up, he groaned in frustration and rolled over. This was his one opportunity to sleep in, so why couldn't he? As Chan lay there, a shiver ran down his spine and he regretted sleeping shirtless. Sitting up to grab himself a shirt, the leader clutched his head. It had started to pound at the change of position and he closed his eyes against the dizziness that came with the pain. He wouldn't only get himself a shirt but some painkillers too if he wanted to get a few more hours of sleep.

Chan winced as he rolled out of bed. When had he gotten so sore? Shuddering, he turned off the air conditioning before putting on a shirt. The rest of the dorm was at least as cold as his room, so the leader tried to make his trip for painkillers as quick as possible. Swallowing the pill dry, Chan made his way to the kitchen and got himself a bottle of water. He took a few sips before screwing the lid back on and taking it to his room. Taking a bottle right out of the fridge had been a mistake but it wasn't like he could undo it now. He'd just have to deal with the freezing cold in his tummy, making him feel even colder than before. Abandoning the bottle on his nightstand, Chan flopped onto his bed with a groan and tried to get comfortable. It was difficult. His muscles were still sore, his head still hurt and the tag in his shirt made his back itch. After a few minutes of rolling around, unable to settle, the Aussie removed the shirt and eventually his decided to try sleeping in his underwear only even if that meant feeling cold for a while. The air con was off and with his blanket, he should hopefully feel warm soon.
