Finding Hope Somewhere

Chapter 2

I woke up the next morning looking like a complete mess. My hair was all in knots and my mascara was all under my eyes, and of all I looked flat out tired. I really hope Jack was going to be there, I really missed him from yesterday. I still looked pretty beat up from yesterday, but it was a little better.

"Do you need a ride to school?" mom yelled from downstairs.

"No, I just want to walk." I said.

"Okay."

I finished all my morning duties and was off to school. I walked through the broad grass and the yellow flowers that started to bloom on.

"Hey." I heard behind me.

"What." I said.

"Laura wait." The voice said.

I turned around and it was Jack. I run up to him and gave him a big hug.

"What the hell happned to your face." He said.

"Abigail and her friends"

"Damn,Laura I'm not here for one day and this happens." .

"I guess."

Jack and I countinued to walk to school, and it felt like it took hours to get there. We arrived on campus and headed to first period. My first class was Language and yes Abigail was in my same class.

"I'll see you later Jack."

He just smiled and waves then walked away to whatever his class was. I went to go sit down in back when I heard

"Laura, come and sit in the front for a change" Mr.Moore said.

I just ignored him and sat in my normal seat. Jasper came in and sat next me to me. He just smiled and winked at me. My heart was about to melt.

"I want to get to know you more." Jasper said.

"What do you want to know?"

"Like things you like."

"Ok I like, music, horror movies, and hanging with my friend."

"Pretty boring life?"

"Yep, never anything new."

He just laughed.

"Do you even know my name?"

"Yea, your Laura".

I just nodded and wrote down what was on the bored.

"What's it like at home?"

My heart felt like it dropped to my but, I really didn't want to tell him what life was like at home. But I did any ways.

"Terrible"

"Why?" he asked while tilting his head.

"I have dead beat parents."

Jasper looked at me in a simpethetic look and I was done talking about it.

For the rest of the period I was admiring Jasper's cute smile and his cute dimple. I felt like I was hungover on love, but I don't even think I know what love is yet.

The bell had rung and it was time for second period. This was the most hated period for me because Abigail was my seat partner and she always found a way to bother me.

"Hey vampire where are your wings"

I just pretended to Ignore her but I just couldn't

"Up your ass Abigail"
