ARIES

We all sighed, broken hearted as we see dead bodies of Andre's pack pile up in front of the packhouse.

While most of the rogues that came in with Damon were killed, they took 17 lives of Andre's pack.

These was a very organised attack, all orchestrated by Damon. Border patrols were killed, and even pack members who were silently sleeping within the comfort of their homes were killed.

They were supposed to be safe in their houses but were still attacked. More than twenty of Andre's pack members were severely injured, and more injured.

Some kids as lost their mothers and fathers, some parents lost their kids. This is what packs fear the most. Losing your loved one on snap of a finger. Their new Alpha was just announced a few hours ago, and they lost their family members next.

I see Andre with clutched hands, trying to supress his anger over what happened. His parents are busy taking notes of who are the members that passed, while Beta Mason was keeping track of the rogues that were killed.

Everyone stopped when a guard carried Damon's lifeless body near the pile.

He's dead. He's finally dead. If there is one thing that everyone was relieved for, was the fact that he's dead. And he was killed by none other than Eden, Lyca's wolf, who just shifted tonight.

Alpha Drinian was one of the severely injured and was taken to the pack clinic, his wife Luna Mia accompanying them. At the very end of the pack house front porch is Eden, lying on the ground with Mateo talking to her.

For some reason, she still hasn't shifted back to Lyca.

"Son," my father, Alpha Roman calls for me. "It's time to go."

I nod at my father and take a last look at Eden and Mateo.

"I need to go see them." I tell him and he nods at me.

"Hey!" I call for Mateo and he looked at me with a rather confusing facial expression. "What's wrong?"

"Lyca," he paused, "She's not shifting back."

"What do you mean?" I ask him, confused.

"Eden says she's not there. As if she has locked herself away."

It was Lyca that we heard calling her father. But it was Eden who killed Damon. I wonder what went wrong.

'She's scared.' Hunter tells me.

'What do you mean?' I ask him.

'She thought her father is dead. Eden is trying to call for her but she's not responding.'

I looked at Eden, sadness was written all over her wolf eyes. Her eyes are not the first golden eyes that I have seen, but hers are the most beautiful, most captivating.

'Help her.' Hunter growls at me.

'How?'

'She likes you. Maybe she will come around when you call her.'

I kneeled beside Mateo and caressed Eden.

"Can't you give back the control to Lyca?" I ask her.

"She's not here." She sadly tells me.

"Lyca?" I try calling for her.

"She can't hear you." Eden says and lays her head on the ground.

"She hates me." Eden whispers, almost crying. "I killed someone."
