ARIES

I spent the weekend trying to find more books in our library about parasitical wolves. How their humans survived. So far, the only things I found were the things we already know about them and the dangers of it.

The strength of a parasitical wolves varies, some are weaker, some are stronger. Eden is definitely on the stronger side because of the Alpha blood that flows in her. This makes it even more dangerous once enemies find out about Eden and Lyca.

Once the enemies find out about them, they will definitely go after Lyca. They will try to kill her, to kill her wolf. Lyca on the other hand will also have to train even harder to improve her strength. The only solution for now is to not let Eden take full control of their body.

I called Mateo later that afternoon to ask about his sister, only to be told that she hasn't gone out of her bedroom the whole weekend and one knows why. She just locked herself in her bedroom and seems to have gone worse than before Eden came. Even Mateo's scary demeanour did not seem to faze her.

I see Mateo in school the next day, he's normally himself most of the day, but is obviously troubled about his sister.

"I don't know what to do man." He tells me, grabbing his gym bag from his locker.

"Do you want me to talk to her?" I ask him, trying to push my luck. I know he won't voluntarily let me be around his sister, but I don't have a choice, do I? I can't just sit around, doing nothing.

"There was something I never mentioned to anyone aside from my father." He tells me while he was driving to their place.

"What is it?" I ask him.

"Her eyes. The moment she killed Damon; her eyes were red."

"It was dark, are you sure?" I ask, looking at him.

"I know what I saw Aries, and the reason I'm telling you this is because I trust that you will believe me." His grip on the steering wheel tighten as he gritted his teeth.

"How is it possible?" I mutter under my breath.

We arrive at their packhouse, and everyone seemed to have gotten back to their normal routine. But Alpha Drinian seems still fazed about his daughter. Mateo told me that a part of their father is blaming himself, thinking that him forcing Lyca to shift was the cause of all of this.

I stood frozen in front of her door with Mateo standing behind me. I can smell her scent from where I am standing. I knock on her door, waiting for reply but I hear nothing.

"Lyca?" I say softly. "Are you awake?"

"Yeah?" I hear her say in a very soft voice.

"Can I come in?" I ask her but hear nothing in reply. "I- I'm coming in."

I slowly turn the knob, and soon enough, I was embraced by her sweet scent. I look at Mateo before stepping into her bedroom, waiting for a signal. His upwards nod was all I needed.

I see her, sitting on the couch by the window, looking outside, hugging her knees. Hunter goes wild because of her scent that gets stronger and stronger the nearer I get to her.

"I thought of stopping by to ask how you've been?" I ask her, standing in the middle of her room.

"If you think I'm going to talk to you with my brother standing outside my room, you're wasting your time." She says without looking at me.

She shifted her gaze to her door, as if waiting for her brother to leave.

"What do you want?" She asks me, looking away. Her face turns red as if something just occurred to her.
