Anya is trying to watch Spy Wars, just like she does every evening. She really enjoys these moments, because everything always feels a bit calmer; papa's cooking the food they'll be enjoying when mama comes back from work. With just the two of them, she doesn't have to concentrate on both of their thoughts, which makes everything a lot easier.

She can just sit down on the floor in front of the television with Mister Chimera on her lap and watch her favorite show. Sometimes Loid is sweet enough to give her a couple of peanuts to snack on while she waits for dinner to be ready. Today Anya thinks he forgot, now her stomach is making all sorts of weird sounds. The food he's making smells so delicious after all.

The lack of peanuts isn't the only thing that's different from every other day. Normally, Anya can easily understand everything that's being said on the television, but right now she cannot hear a single word. Loid's thoughts are way too loud.

She wishes she could tell him to shush for a moment, but she can't; he's always thinking too many important things for Anya to just interrupt him. That would ruin papa's mission.

Anya closes her eyes and sighs. "I wish papa would just be less stressed out," she whispers, smiling at Mister Chimera, who totally agrees with her. Loid shouldn't be thinking this loud, and so many thoughts at once, it's bad for his ears. And bad for Anya's. Even she can barely keep track of the millions of thoughts that fly through Loid's head, so she can't even imagine what it feels like to papa. It's like there's an entire room full of people, shouting inside his brain.

Anya places her hands over top of her ears, she buries her head in between her legs and chest, trying to block everything out.

It doesn't work.

"Is something wrong, Anya?" Loid's voice can barely be heard from above his screaming thoughts. A hand squeezing Anya's shoulder followed by all of Loid's thoughts getting smaller 'till only a careful cuss word is left, tells her papa's worried about her.

She removes her hands from her ears and looks up. When her eyes meet papa's, his are filled with worries. And so are his thoughts. He's even considering calling a doctor for her.

"No doctor." She shakes her head. "I just have a headache."

Papa stares at her, the fear in his eyes slowly gets replaced by relief. "Good." He nods to himself. We have painkillers for that. "I'll get you something for your headache. Do you want some peanuts as well?"

Sounds like good offer. Anya nods.

Loid tousles her hair before getting back onto his feet.

Anya watches as papa gets medicine from one of the kitchen's cabinets. He also gets her a glass of water and some peanuts from the big bag they always have sitting on the counter, just out of Anya's reach. When he gets back, Anya first needs to swallow the medicine. It tastes really bad! But at least she gets a handful of peanuts afterwards, so that's good.

"Feeling better?" papa asks when Anya happily starts peeling her peanuts.

"Yep!"

It seems that the medicine isn't really helping a lot. Not when Loid's thoughts get louder the second he gets back to the kitchen. He swears about the expensive meat that's now overcooked and at the same time tries to figure out how to safe it; Anya hopes it wasn't her fault.
