Rosa quickly gathered her notebook and pen stuffing them into her backpack as class came to an end. Jacob was already up leaning against the corner of her desk waiting for her. The two of them were going to grab lunch at the dinning hall after class.
"California, hurry. It's pizza today and I am starving to death," Jacob whined.
Rosa laughed shaking her head at him, "trust me, I know. I heard your stomach growling very loudly during class."
As Rosa and Jacob headed towards the exit of the classroom, Professor Grayson called out stopping the two before heading out the door, "Miss Rosa Valencia, do you have a moment?" He paused and turned to look at Jacob, "privately, preferably."
Rosa hesitated slightly on answering Professor Grayson, she knew Jacob was on the verge of becoming hangry and the last thing she wanted was a hangry Jacob. The Valencia female had no idea why Professor Grayson would want to speak to her privately about. She had caught up on her work and her exams have been high grades recently after a couple terrible ones from missing class due to her transition.
Jacob answered before Rosa could, "Professor, I hate to be that guy but I am going to be that guy. California's stomach here was growling uncontrollably loud during class, embarrassing I know, so we're kind of in a rush to get to the dinning hall for lunch before next class." As Jacob flashed a huge grin at the Professor and Rosa knew that fake grin very well from her friend causing her to slight snicker.
The Valencia female elbowed Jacob's side causing him to grunt and hold onto his side. "What was that for?" Jacob hissed at her.
"I assure you, Mr. Atwood, it should not take too long. You could even wait outside the classroom for her, or better yet, if you would like, you can just head down to the dinning hall and wait for Miss Rosa Valencia there."
Jacob turned around rolling his eyes so Professor Grayson couldn't see him. "I will be waiting right outside, California." He began walking towards the exit as he continued on saying loudly, "waiting impatiently, by the way!" He proceeded to shut the door behind him.
Rosa shook her head laughing at the dramatics of her friend. She turned back around to look up at Professor Grayson, "what did you need to speak to me about, professor?"
Professor Grayson leaned his back against his desk as he crossed his arms against his chest, "I noticed you left the event the other night quite early, usually you stay there for hours."
Rosa nodded in agreement. She did recall leaving the star gazing event early to drink some of Kai's blood- Kai. She shuddered slightly as Professor Grayson caught her movement. It's been three days since Kai used magic to access Rosa's mind without her permission. The Valencia female had not spoken to him since. He's called and texted her but Rosa has not responded or answered. Rosa was furious still. The pain and humiliation he brought her down to witnessing those moments. Rosa was close to turning off her humanity if it wasn't for Alejandro showing up at the right time. But Rosa didn't want to scoop that low, she's dealt with worst pain and betrayal then this without an easy way out. Kai was not going to get that satisfaction.
