Chapter 1

Ashton
I woke with a loud noise coming from my bedside table. With a groan I got out of the bed and hit snooze button on my iPhone.

I put on my surf suit and went downstairs for breakfast. Not in the mood to cook I simply grabbed a banana and rushed out.

I stopped in the garage to pick my surfboard and then headed to the beach.

The day was just perfect. The sun was heating but there was a light breeze that made the warmth bearable. The waves were big enough to have some fun but not dangerous at all. As I was taking in the beautiful scenario in front of me I felt a pat on my back.

"Nice day huh?!" I looked to my side only to find my best mate, Luke. "You bet" My lips parted in a small smile.
"Let's go crash some waves" he said patting my back again and starting to run run towards the sea. I catch up with him and we both thrown our boards into the sea at the same time.

After a while Luke left for work but I continued enjoying the weather a little more.
As I got out of the sea I closed my eyes and shook my head, letting some of the water fall from my curls. And that was when I heard a loud groan.
"What the fuck?!" I heard a feminine voice yell. Ups!

I looked over at her and saw a short girl. Her skin was pale and her eyes an intense brown. Her shoulder length hair framed her face perfectly. She had deep red lipstick that stood out in her delicate features. As I glanced to her body she was wearing a grey sweater that fell over one of her shoulders and black, ripped, skinny jeans. Her feet wore black boots.

How could she even handle the warmth of the day?

"I'm sorry" I finaly said to her. Just as I was expecting an answer from her, she rolled her eyes and continue to walk.

I followed after her and when I was only a few inches behind her I said "Isn't it too hot for you to be wearing all black?"

To my surprise she didn't even flinch at my presence behind her. " Isn't it too early for your unwanted comments?" She remarked sarcastically.

A smirk grew on my face and I catch up with her, walking by her side. "You're a smart mouth, I see."

She didn't said a word, instead she rolled her eyes again. An act she was clearly ver fond of.
