Tessa: A 18 y/o girl, devoted to reading and plans to study English Literature at college. She grew up with her mom and had a deep bonding so it was hard for both of them because it was a big separation. Being brought up in Colorado, Tess had a life with only a few people - with only a small social group or no sort of buzzing bee life. She had her only friend Ryle and they are in a so-called relationship. Ryle is toxic but is stuck in with her for most of her teenage period. While she was leaving for college, Ryle tried to stop her and not let her go. But Tess somehow convinced her old-school lover. She is going to New York City and she thinks it will be tough to adjust to a huge place as bustling as New York. She is upset to leave him but feels like she will be able to live life without any possessiveness. She always pressed herself, neither spoke out what she felt. Maybe, life had a different plan for her.
Cherry: As sweet as the name sound, she is the mother of Tessa. Being naive, she got ditched by her husband. She moved to Colorado when Tess was 6 years old. She believes that finding a perfect suitor is quite impossible and Ryle is the perfect suitor for Tessa. Ryle helped them to run errands and was a big part when Tess's father broke down into their house when Tess was at Pearl Academy.
Ryle: Only friend of Tessa in Colorado. He loves her but overshadows the dark side with terms of being insecure in love. He is a family friend to the Youngs' when they shifted to the US and Tess's mom even agrees to consider him as Tess's fiancé. Ryle feels Tessa going to change after going to NYC. He cares for her but sometimes it's way not. This character keeps on evolving and it's hard to point out what he wants.
Hardin: A 20y/o guy still figuring out life. He had a tough childhood and a pathetic breakup. He loves to read but never believes in the genre of love anymore. His family shifted to the US when his parent split apart and Hardin's mom started dating the chancellor at Manhattan. He goes to the same college, Tessa got in. Hardin being Hardin - dating off on and around the campus and into one nightstand. He stopped looking for permanent anybody and spent with random hookup girls. Being, the famous guy of New York University, girls tries to impress him - damn the popularity among the crowd.
well, they are the main characters as of now, and surely, I will introduce more people when I start writing it. Also, you can imagine yourself as Tessa whenever you're reading this to take the vibe.
