Chapter 11

Magni P.O.V.

When Wonder Woman came to me with the suggestion that we get a training session , I followed her down a long hallway into a large room.

Wonder Woman: it's been a long time since I've trained with someone who is also a warrior , the only time that's possible is when I'm at home on Themyscira.

Magni: I used to train with Einherjar and my parents on Asgard , but now I don't have that many options. So I will welcome this opportunity.

Wonder Woman: Exactly , that's why the training is important , especially when you're fighting against my alternate version , Superman and others.

I nodded as we continued on , until we entered the large room.

Wonder Woman: Justice League uses this room for training , it's specifically made for fighting the opponents we face. You'll try your hand against several opponents and then against me.

Not that fighting Wonder Woman is anything new but at least this one won't try to kill me. I shouldn't underestimate her either.

Magni: You can start it.

Wonder Woman: We'll start with something easier first.

I nodded.

Diana typed something into the console , I found myself in the city and Bane and Deathstroke appeared in front of me.

Bane lunged at me and tried to hit me with his right hook but I parried his blow and landed a quick succession of punches to his torso and side. He then kicked me which pushed me away from him. Then Deathstroke came running at me from behind with his swords slashing at my back which shielded my armor , I quickly turned to him and used Mjolnir to parry his last blow and then gave him a right hook which threw him a few feet away from me. Bane then focused on me again and started to hit me quickly but I parried most of his blows and spun my hammer to knock him out. Deathstroke lunged at me with his swords which subsequently broke after a heavy impact on the hammer. After this he was left defenseless , which I subsequently took advantage of by landing a powerful left hook which sent him flying into a building knocking him out of the fight.

Wonder Woman then typed more commands on the console and the computer created a new environment where I was up against Black Adam.

Batman who had arrived during the first fight watched as I fought Black Adam and talked to Wonder Woman.

Bruce: So far he's doing well , for being so young , you can see he's got the training.

Diana: You're right about that, he grew up in a similar environment to me, he has potential. The future will only tell what kind. We'll see how he will do against me.

Bruce grinned.

Bruce: Don't be too hard on him , he' s still needed.

Diana grinned.

Diana: I'll do my best to be gentle with him.

While they were talking , I finally defeated Grundy after a hard fought battle. That's when Wonder Woman came up to me.

Wonder Woman: You've done well, you've had training and whoever taught you did a good job. Now let's see how you do against me.

I grinned.

Magni: I've fought against your alternate version before and I've fared well.

Diana grinned back.

Wonder Woman: Then show yourself what a god of strength you are.

We both got into a fighting stance and rushed towards each other.

Wonder Woman attacked first and slashed at me with her sword , which I deflected with Mjolnir , but then she jumped over me and kicked me in the back and used her lasso to cuff my hands. I struggled to get out of her grip until I headbutted her and shook her off me. I then used my strength to throw her a few feet away. I lunged at her and threw a hammer at her which she dodged but it hit her from behind as it came back at me. I then lunged at her with Mjolnir in hand but she parried the hammer blow with her shield. She then threw me off of her and jumped at me , throwing the shield at me which I narrowly avoided. She started slashing at me with her sword , and I had to parry her blows with my hammer. This duel of ours lasted another few minutes until she managed to put me at a disadvantage and disarm me. Then she lunged at me and forced me to surrender.

Wonder Woman: It's been a while since I've trained like this , last time with my sisters at home. You were good , those who trained you did a good job.

Wonder Woman: Thanks, it was a good fight. You reminded me of my mom , she was a fighter like you too.

Diana: I'll take that as a compliment, I'll be happy to fight alongside you.

Magni nodded.

Then Cyborg came up and we looked at him.

Cyborg: Did I interrupt something ?

Wonder Woman : No , we just finished. Do you have news for us ?

Cyborg : I do , the portal is repaired and we are ready to leave.

Magni: Okay, let's go then, we can't waste any time.

We all nodded and went to join the others.
