Tears began to roll down Amber's cheeks as she looked at the monster in front of her. It's smile pierced through Amber's skin and she could feel shivers down her spine. She still couldn't move or scream, but she so desperately wanted to leave this place. While in her frozen state, she could hear her friends calling out to her. "Amber! You have to move! Amber!" The voices cried, but Amber couldn't tell them apart. The monster's smile was all that she could think about. As the time went by, Amber felt numb and dizzy. She heard something, someone, talk to her.

"It's ok. I'll take care of this," the voice said. Amber recognized it immediately. Her limbs relaxed as she dissociated, the monster in front of her fading out of her view.

As this was going on, Mark and Star tried to locate the sound that came from behind them. They had heard it again, but this time from the bushes to their left. "This isn't good," Star said. "This could be a second monster." "What are we going to do? Amber's frozen and it doesn't seem like that big one is going to leave us alone," Mark replied. He looked back at Amber, progressively getting more nervous as he saw Amber still was unmoving.

"How are we supposed to get away from these things?" He asked.

"We'll have to run. Trying to hurt them won't do anything. Their bodies are too hard for us to do any damage on them."

"So run. Got it. What about Amber?"

"That's what I've been trying to figure out."

Star looked toward Amber. Her face wasn't filled with fear anymore. It had the same look as when Lilac switched with Amber. Star turned towards her. "Amber!?" She yelled as she flew towards her friend. Amber's(?) head was down, and it seemed like she was going to faint. "Amber, we have to run," Star said.

Amber(?) lifted her head, and her expression completely changed. She looked at Star, and a confused expression crept onto her face. "Who the heck are you?" She asked. Star was taken aback. "Amber, do you not remember me?" "Amber's not here," they responded. Star was puzzled for a moment before she caught on. Could this be? "Is this Ren?" She asked. Ren looked at her with surprise. "How do you-" but before he could finish his question, the giant monster let out a blood-curdling scream. Everyone covered their ears at the horrible sound, bending down to the ground. Ren was the most affected by the sound, but Mark seemed to be unaffected by the sudden noise.

"The heck is that!?" Ren yelled as he looked to where the sound came from. His face froze at the sight. As he stared at the monster in front of him, he felt his hands starting to shake. "What...what is that?" He whispered, fear starting to show in his voice. He slowly got up as he kept staring at the monster in front of him.

"It's called a monster, and we have to get away from it now," Star explained. "Well don't tell me twice, lead the way!" Ren yelled. "Mark, let's go!" Star cried, and as he turned to them, she began to run, closely followed by both Ren and Mark.

The monster let out another scream, and this time, more sounds were heard in the bushes. Smaller monsters began to crawl out of the bushes as they ran after the three people in front of them. Ren and Mark continued to run with Star in the lead. They ran and ran. They ran over fallen logs and broken trees. They ran through the twists and turns of the forest, all while more and more monsters showed up behind them, all screaming. Moments felt like forever, and both Mark and Ren started to feel cramping in their legs, but they ignored them for as far as they could. Neither of them wanted any sort of setback.

Ren, however, couldn't keep up for long, as he tripped on a log that he didn't see. He fell face-first into the hard, cold floor of the forest with a grunt. Mark and Star stopped in their tracks, and Mark turned to help his friend. A monster was closing in, and Mark didn't have much time before it caught up. He quickly picked Ren up and started to run with him in his arms. Ren, however, was not pleased.
