Trayson high school for the gifted

New start new me

I gaze out the car window looking at the stuff passing by. Trees, grass, cars, animals I watch as they leave my gaze. I wish we could have stayed at the old town with what little friends I had but mom has already made her mind and when that's done nothing can change that. I am still staring out the window as we drive into the city. I roll down my window to get a better look at if. I take a deep breath you can smell the fresh cut grass on someone's lawn and the flowers that were planted across the street. I open my eyes as we finally pull in to the driveway.
"I had the movers unpack everything and put it away so you just need to unpack you bags and get use to the new house ok"
"Ok mom"I am still upset about having to move so I mumble the words out. As soon as I do my mom looks over and said - Haley at least it's a new start no one will hurt you here I hope ok- she gave a warm comforting smile and walked away to the front door. You can still smell the new dry wall that's was put in. I walk over to my room it's a off white color my bed is navy blue with gold ascents to it. I unpack all my stuff and sit on my bed scrolling through instagram. Out of boredom I search up this town in the search bar in the corner. Not much comes up but what does is sorta cool they have a roller skating place downtown and a movie theatre.I keep scrolling and come across this girl.she looks about my age. Dark black hair that almost looked navy smooth skin with freckles and amber eyes that look as if they were a gem. I wonder if they go to my new school heck I don't even know what school I am going to
"Mom what school am I going to" I scream as if she won't hear me at all
"Oh yeah forgot to tell you I guess it will be trayson high school for the gifted"
The gifted I mutter to myself but I'm not good at any sports or have amazing grades I am not gifted other then this stupid power but not even mom knows about that so how did I get in?
