It's a bright, sunny morning and where all young teens are heading for school, our young heroine is rushing through her morning routine, trying to reach school on time.
"Oh no Tikki!" exclaims Marinette "I'm late for school again. I was up last night making a gift for Adrian's 31st birthday and lost track of time." she explains, as she hurriedly changes out of her nighties.
"Marinette, I'm worried about you. You're spending so much time on Adrian. You can't even focus on any other things like your friends and school." says Tikki with a concerned expression.
"I know, but Adrian's so wonderful~ I can't stop thinking about him. But don't worry. I'll take control of my emotions now." Marinette replies and rushes out of the house.
Upon reaching school, She quietly sneaks into her class, making sure Miss Bustier doesn't take notice and sits beside Alya.
"Girl, where were you in the morning? Don't tell me you were up all night thinking about Adrian." Alya questions, glaring at Marinette
"What!? No, I was just...yeah, all right I was." Marinette admits as she looks away in embarrassment.
"You've missed so much school work these past few days and the get togethers we've had."
"Wow, Tikki was right" Marinette mumbles to herself.
"What did you say?" Alya asks, not having heard her properly
"Nothing! You're right Alya. From now on, all my time will be spent with my friends. Why don't we go to Julika's later." Marinette proposes
"Sounds great! We'll go with Rose, Alex and Mylene." Alya says in excitement.
At Julika's place, since Kitty Section were having their practice, Rose was already there and invited her friends on the boat.
"Why don't you all come and listen to the song we rehearsed for Kitty Sections latest video." Rose asks in her usual cheery voice.
"Sure Rose, we would love to!" replies Marinette
They all sit down and while listening to the song, Marinette notices that Luka took a few glances towards her in the middle of playing and smiled gently like he usually did.
After the song finished, everyone applauded for their friends and Luka immediately went to Marinette.
"So, did you like it Marinette?" Luka asks in a genuine soft tone of voice.
"Yeah, it was really good luck. I mean video in good luck! I mean, good luck in making the video." Marinette says, fumbling terribly at her words. But managed to make Luka laugh softly and he replies with a thanks.
Alya, who was standing near them, pulled Marinette aside when Luka's attention was elsewhere.
"What happened Alya?" Marinette asks in confusion
"Maybe you can tell me. I think you've found a new Adrian to go crazy on." Alya teases, nudging Marinette's arm
"Please Alya. You know Luka is just-"
"A friend? Yeah you told me. But you also said that told you that he loves you. So maybe you should..."
"Don't say it Alya. I love Adrian...and I know he loves someone else but-"
"But what? I hate to see you keep hurting yourself by trying to love someone who doesn't love you back. Maybe you should be with someone else now." Alya said in a crisp manner but was still having a worried expression.
Marinette stayed quiet for a moment and then spoke
"I'll think about it. I should go home now." she said in a dejected way and made her way down the boat.
Back at her home, she was about to fall asleep but then suddenly turned towards Tikki.
"Do you think Alya's is right Tikki? Should I be with someone else?" Marinette asks somberly
"I know you won't like the answer, but there are two guys deeply in love with you." Tikki responds in a sweet way
"You mean Cat Noir and Luka?"
"Yes! They both love you and have confessed it." exclaims Tikki
"You're right. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I chose either of them. But even if I do, who should I choose? Luka told me he's been in love with me since he met me, but I've known Cat Noir for a longer time and he's also been in love with me since he's met me." Marinette says out loud, unable to decide.
"Then maybe you should give Cat Noir a chance." said Tikki
"But I don't want to break Luka's heart"
"It's better to break one heart than to break two. And if Luka really loves you then he'll understand."
"Okay, then it's final! I'll tell Cat Noir about how I feel. Hopefully it'll be easier than telling Adrian how I feel. Good night Tikki." Marinette said, getting elated again
"Good night Marinette"
