In Bed

It had been a long day. Officers, Troopers, High Command. Sometimes Hux felt like he was the only one with an actual brain.

He was running on empty. Hux had gotten a Ping that Kylo had logged into their room. He had just come back from a month-long mission. At least they could end the day on a good note.

He opened his door, being met by Millicent running around his legs. He stumbled in, setting his Data Pad on his desk. He rubbed his hands over his face, sighing. He put on a fake smile, opening the door to his bedroom to see Kylo on his bed, looking at him.

Hux had unfortunately learned while dating his Knight that he couldn't hide anything from him, no matter how hard he tried. He noticed Kylo immediately frown at him, tilting his head as if that would help him decipher what was wrong.

The man was so horribly cute sometimes. Hux couldn't help himself.

Hux took off his jacket and pants, leaving him in his tank tip and boxers, same as Kylo. He climbed into bed, sitting practically on Kylo's lap, immediately shoving his face into Kylo's chest.

He heard Kylo laugh, moving his arms around him, pushing him closer to his chest.

"That bad huh, I could feel you stressing through the Force practically all day."

Hux only groaned in response. Kylo used the Force to start the Tea Machine. Hux could never say no to Tartine Tea.

"Well, Empire Day is coming up. We could celebrate. You, Me, nice cabin on the Lake."

Hux pulled himself off of Kylo, gauging if he was actually serious. Kylo just smiled back at him as he floated the tea into Hux's hands.

"You know I can't leave my post. Besides, Empire Day is more of an excuse to drink on the job, as if the old Imperials didn't do that anyway."

Hux and Empire Day had an odd past. One Kylo wasn't privy to just yet. Hux needed to stop being petty and just leave it at that, for once.

Kylo's expression made it worse. He was disappointed, not with Hux, but himself. Hux pecked him on the lips, smiling back at him. That at least seemed to do the trick.

"We will deal with it when the time comes. Thank you for the tea though. Your Force does have some use."

Kylo glared at him, lifting the mug out of Hux's hands and into his own. He was never a fan of tartine Tea, but he had to make Hux suffer just for the fun of it.

"That Force has saved you more time than you would like to admit. It just happens to be great at making tea as well."

Hux sighed dramatically, scooching closer to Kylo, laying his head on his shoulder. He waved Kylo's hand away when he tried to give him back the tea. His body was starting to shut down.

"I have my Knight to protect me. That's all I need. No Force, just You."

Kylo wanted to retort but he felt the man slump against him, completely dead to the world.

He laid them both down on the bed comfortably. Millicent conveniently layed right above his head on the pillow, Hux's face shoved in the space between his shoulder and neck.

No matter what they went through. They could always rely on each other to make them feel whole again. Just them.
