Y/n POV:
There's something so interesting about him but I don't wanna get attached. I thought I learned from past experiences, but I guess the heart wants what it wants. I don't even know why I put myself through this again. It was only supposed to be a harmless crush and now look at where it got me. I mean I hardly talk to him but every time I do, my heart rate increases, and I find myself unable to respond properly.
Liu Yangyang, the boy who everyone wants to be friends with, the boy every girl wants a chance with, the boy to whom I found myself attached. It's strange to become attached to someone who interacts with you once in a while, but the things he does have me falling harder and harder.
I was first exposed to him in my current math class. He sat pretty far from me at first, but with new seating arrangements that soon changed. I guess I owe some thanks to my math teacher for moving him so close. He usually talks to Ten and Jaehyun in class, occasionally making conversation with me as well. It just leaves me to admire from the small distance there was between us.
The first time he ever spoke to me was the day of the chapter 3 test where he forgot a pencil. He hadn't asked Ten or Mark yet so when I saw that he needed one, I assumed he would ask one of them. However, he turned to me and made a subtle "psst" sound calling my name.
"Y/n," oh my lord, he knows my name, "Do you have an extra pencil?" I looked in my pencil bag to find a few extra pencils that I forgot were there.
I tossed the pencil to him and faced forward again, trying not to seem to interested in the small interaction. After taking the test, the bell had rang and I was in a rush to go see my friends for break. Yangyang stopped me in my steps and kinda just stared at me.
I waved my hand in his face waiting for a response when all he did was shove a piece of paper in my hand. That was strange. I looked down at the piece of paper and opened it:
Sorry for the awkward note but I just wanted to say a few things and I was in a rush. I hope you don't mind me using your pencil for the rest of the day, I'll give it back eventually. Just in case I forget, don't be scared to remind me; xxx-xxx-xxxx
Thanks,
Yangyang ;)Yeah the note is still pretty strange. I did end up texting his number because I needed some information about the boys volleyball team. I did actually need it though. I was working on an article about them for my journalism class. No one else took the topic so I volunteered.
I went to most of the games since my best friend, Taeha, was usually there for Mark, her boyfriend and captain of the volleyball team, she dragged me there because she knew I like Yangyang and she didn't want to go alone. Mark and I became close because of how often he would come around to hang out with her. He knew about my crush on Yangyang and joked about it so often, it eventually got to me.
Watching him play was insane, he was so different on the court. He was a lot more bold in his movement and reactive when around his team. It was so interesting to see considering how shy and careful he was during the school team.
After games, Taeha and I would have to wait for Mark to go eat out or go home. After today's game, Mark walked out with Yangyang laughing and playfully hitting each other. They walked up to us and Mark went closer to Taeha whispering something in her ear.
All I hear is an "Of course" come out of her mouth and off we went...the four of us? Wait, what? Yangyang was coming with us and I was the only one confused. Taeha grabbed Mark's arm linking them and laying her head on him.
"Yuck" I hear Yangyang say while chuckling.
"What was that?" Mark whipped his head back.
"Nothing sir" Yangyang saluted.
