If only I knew...

the bicycle

Ignoring all signals the universe had sent us we reach to our destination

We usually lived in our apartment but this time we stayed with my aunt which meant that we didn't have to fight over who will stay with them for a night

She had a separate apartment-like little house next to her's and that's where we stayed

We visited all of my mother's relatives and it was time to go visit our family friends

Now I will change everyone's names because I didn't ask if I could write about them nor I want them to find out

My mother's friend - Olivia
My dad's friend - Jackson
Their daughter - Amelia
Their older son - Rodger, he wasn't there in the park

And the person that changed my life forever - Ryan their youngest son

That day we left my aunt's home and took a mini bus

We reached our destination and I'm not totally sure but I suppose it was the same park

And there they were... Waiting for us, smiling and waving

When I saw Ryan I felt something, not sure what it was but it was something, it wasn't like he was my type but I thought he's cute

Something clicked between us... I don't know if he felt it but I sure did

Later I remember asking him what he felt that day, he said that I looked like a small little cute girl

I distinctly remember that his mother wore a snake arm bracelet and thought it was so cool

We went deeper into the park laughing and talking. My sister and I rented two bicycles so we could ride around the park

While others sat on the bench my sister and I raced on the bicycles, she won because I was not that adventurous and was scared, what if I fall or we crash into eachother?

Then Amelia asked if she could ride with my sister, I agreed giving her my cycle

I sat with my parents, my dad noticed that there was a peacock behind us

There was a tall border like partition between us so it wasn't scared of us

When my sister and Amelia came back Ryan took one of our bicycles

He did some stunts not really big ones thought

To me he looked like he was trying to impress everyone, he kept glancing at me

Suddenly it started to rain, it wasn't a heavy rain so we slowly walked out of the park

Right in front of it was a grocery shop and we went inside

They bought what they needed and we went went to their car

We were now headed to their home

I don't remember how my mother,dad,sister and Olivia reached there but I was in Ryan's dad's car along with his elder brother and him

We sat in the backseat together

When we reached our destination I fell in love with their home

It was big with a backyard, a garden and a swing

Olivia renovated their home herself because she was in divorce with Jackson, he didn't help her because he didn't live there

They had a cat, it was just so little that it fit in my hands

We were all in the backyard, I was sitting on the bench swing with Amelia and I had the cat in my hands

Then she left and Ryan came and sat with me

We talked alot, I'm not sure about what but probably it was "what's your favourite color" type questions

Till this day I have a photo my dad took of us on the swing

Then he asked if I wanted to ride around on his bicycle and I agreed, the raid had stopped my now so we went outside

His bicycle was much bigger than I'm used to, he helped me up on it and after few tries I was finally stable on it

I was scared, it was much higher than my normal height and I was scared to fall but I made it

I circled around and came back, he told me that's how he learnt those stunts was on this bicycle

If only I knew what this moment would mean for me now...
