I do not write about these thing to belittle them or make people uncomfortable or upset, they are simply aspects of the story and characters as I have written them.

Please read with caution and keep in mind that this story has these themes.]

It was a quiet and warm night. The moon shone brightly out of the clouds, bathing everything in its milky hue. The silence of the peaceful night was welcome to most as they desired to sleep and prepare for the next day as it was, to them a normal day.

But the peace and quiet was not as welcome to the restless [Y/n]. As I lie awake in my comfortable bed, sinking gradually into the mattress I pondered what I should and could do. On nights like these when there was no school the next day and I couldn't sleep I found myself being eaten away at by the nagging need to DO something, anything!

Perhaps it was this boredom or perhaps it was the news on the living room television spouting random fun facts about the underground that hatched the idea in my brain.

I had heard about the underground in length from your friendly neighborhood ambassador and childhood friend Frisk Dreemur. Frisk had told me on many an occasion about the underground and the inhabitants.

The information they had on all of the monsters and the layout and geography of the underground was astounding to me. She had been in the underground for quite a length of time, true. But long as 3 month is, there's simply no way the un-studious Frisk had learned so much about the intricacies of monster life in the frankly strict timespan she had.

As I had known Frisk for years prior to her falling into the underground I knew her well enough to know that no matter how interested she may have been in monsters it was simply impossible for her to have become the living encyclopedia that she seemed to be now. This left me suspicious but I knew better then to ask about it after the first time.

When I had pressed her on it she became dodgy and distant, and at times even jumpy. Whatever it was it clearly made her uncomfortable to discuss it.

She had exchanged glances multiple times with our now mutual buddy, Sans the Punny skeleton man. I had just about chalked it up to magic, when something even more interesting about the situation surfaced months later.

I overheard, or mayyybe eavesdropped on a conversation the two had about the late child of Frisk's adoptive mother, Chara Dreemur. Their conversation started off talking of Frisk's abundant knowledge and how I may 'figure me out,' as Frisk put it.

The way they spoke was full of jargon, almost like it was intentionally encrypted to be undecipherable to those out of the know. I felt a tad guilty about this invasion of what was clearly a private matter but I couldn't help it.

It was odd that in a conversation like that one, that they'd bring up a person who had been dead for centuries, maybe longer.

If Frisk was [Determined] to help others, you were real damn [Determined] to curb your boredom and unravel the secret web they seemed to be spinning.

Even thinking about the conversations and possibility of a secret conspiracy completely halted my boredom. Thinking deeper on this conversation I made two realizations. Realization the first was that I'd likely never get an answer out of Frisk or Sans. And realization the second was that any secrets the monsters or Frisk for that matter may have would likely still be in the underground, simply waiting to be discovered.
