Hello all!
I just wanted to make a quick announcement. I know it's been a while since I last updated, and I apologize. However, it's probably not going to get any better anytime soon. I took about a month and a half off from writing, cause I wasn't feeling motivated to write anything, including this work.
The good news is that I'm back, and feeling good. I'm about to finish my freshman year of college, and during the summer I will have a lot more time to work on writing and do what I'm passionate about. Along with Barriers Down, I've also decided to begin my first original work, and the goal is to have that published by the end of my senior year (so fingers crossed!). (I'll probably post little updates on that on my Instagram, as well as updates on this fic, so if you wanna stay updated, that's the place to do it).
The bad news is that I'm going to stop publishing this fic for the time being. I've found through being at college this year that it's difficult to stick to a consistent schedule with writing. I have hard weeks, where I can't bring myself to do anything writing-related, and I get burned out too easily with all my other work. For context, I'm a marine biology major, so I have a lot of work to do when it comes to school. But don't worry, I will continue to work on this fic because I'll be damned if I don't finish it. I have big plans for it, but I want to be able to publish it on a consistent schedule. So, chapters will not come out until the entire thing is written. Then, I can publish a chapter a week, as I wanted to do originally. I hope that your interest in Eden Rose and Shoto Todoroki will not wane in the time it takes me to write the book in its entirety. I'm hoping to begin publishing chapters again by the end of 2022? I understand that that is a very long time and that you may not want to read this when I publish chapters again. But, I hope to see you all again soon.
In the meantime, enjoy Chapter 8, as I've been sitting on it for about 2 months.
