AUTHOR'S NOTE: In the world of the Dark Whispers Universe, Steve Rogers did not stay in the past after returning the Infinity Stones to their rightful homes. He returned to the correct timeline and is still actively Captain America and is married to Hawkeye's daughter, Sophie. You'll meet her soon. Sophie is owned by Aura Mackenzie and has her own fics she stars in, Avenging Enhanced and Civil War: Avenging Ties. On Wattpad, they are under the username Skyeblackthephoenix. Sophie also appears in my Chosen Universe fics. The last couple of chapters were very focused on DC. This one will feature more of the Marvel characters as everyone is about to come together.

MORGAN
She was working on tweaking her latest creation when her computer began beeping with an alert. Morgan Stark immediately jumped up and ran to her telescope.

"It's happening again!" She said in surprise.

"Morgan? Is everything okay?" Happy Hogan called from outside of the lab.

"Happy! Come here, and hurry!" Morgan replied excitedly.

He came toward her. She activated the digital constellation map in the lens before telling him, "Look!"

"What am I looking at exactly?" He asked.

"The markings in the lens are where the constellations should be."

"I think your map's a little off, Kid."

"Exactly! They're all slightly to the right!"

"That's impossible, Morgan."

"I know that! But it's happening anyway. Something majorly weird is going on, Happy."

"Morgan, when was the last time you got some sleep?"

"Sleep is for slackers. That's why we have caffeine."

"Come on, Kiddo... I think-" Happy paused as he was about to look away from the telescope. "What the...?"

"They're aligned again, aren't they?" Morgan asked.

"How the hell...?" Happy finally looked at her. "Alright, I believe you. Something weird is going on. What does this mean, Morgan?"

"I don't know, but I intend to find out. Stay here."

"Morgan-"

"Come on, Happy. You're my guy in the chair."

"You've been talking to Peter again."

"I always talk to Peter. He's family." Peter Parker was also one of the only people who knew Morgan's biggest secret, along with Happy, her mom, and James Rhodes. Happy had figured it out first, and he'd insisted she tell her mom. To spare her "Uncle Rhodey" from trying to figure it out on his own, she'd told him, too. She'd told Peter because she trusted him more than anyone else in the world. He'd let the entire universe forget who he was just to save it. If that wasn't honorable, what was? Luckily, that had sorted itself out eventually. Morgan had been one of the first people to remember him. There was a good chance that Nick Fury knew, but so far, he hadn't confronted her about it. Fury knew pretty much everything, so Morgan just assumed he was waiting until the moment suited him to approach her.

"What's your plan, Kid?" Happy asked. He'd learned over the years that it was pointless to try to stop her once she set her mind to something.

"I'm going to go investigate this," Morgan replied.

"Be careful."

"I always am." She gave Happy a tight hug before activating her suit.

It had started off as one of her father's favorite suits, and she'd made improvements to it over the years. She'd found it locked away in his secret second lab, which she'd also found on her own. Morgan had a habit of finding things she wasn't supposed to. When she'd activated the suit, a message from her father had played.
