It's already 7:00pm in the evening. After Mew's work he went to the mall and started buying gifts, he's all smile while getting the things that he thought will suit to be his gift to his family, as it is already Christmas.
He buys a floral dress to his mother. His mother likes dresses and also flowers. A watch to his dad, game consoles and Xbox to his brother and books and earphones to his twin sister.
Then he thought of buying Chopper, his dog a new collar and some other stuffs that he needs. So he went to the section where things about dogs and cats are displayed. His eyes are eyeing every collar but no one of it took his attention. But when his eyes landed to a yellow gold collar with a paw prints in it, he immediately took it. He was all smile because he knows his dog will surely like it. After getting it and put it on his cart, he was about to go when he bumped on someone.
He just groaned and tsked. He was ready to complain when he saw that it's him. Both of them are shock to see each other.
"Mew.." Gulf spoke before flashing a small smile. "What are you doing here?," He asked him as he insert both of hus hand on his pockets.
"B-Buying gifts??," Mew said unsure. Gulf just chuckled. "You still didn't change," and Gulf was about to pinch his cheeks when he remembers that he no longer have the right to do it like he used to before.
And Mew saw it, he was actually expecting that he will continue and pinch his cheeks but it didn't come. Mew just chewed his lower lip. He slightly shook his head.
"You have someone with you?," Gulf asked. Gulf's voice turned out possessive and Mew can't help but to raise a brow. "Just asking," Gulf sighed. This is hard for him.
"No. No one is with me." Mew answered. He can't help but to sigh inwardly. It's was actually awkward for him and he wants to leave but he don't want to be rude. And the heavy feeling inside of him is getting more heavier because as time passes by, all those memory that they had are slowly rushing back to him. Both good and bad memories with him, that he'll treasure forever.
"Ah," Gulf nodded. Awkward silence suddenly filled them. When both was about to ask something when they heard a woman's voice. "Babe!," A woman with porcelain skin, wavy brown hair and has a cute feature went beside Gulf. "Babe, where did you go? Do you know I'm looking for you everywhere?," The girl wailed like a baby.
And Mew saw how Gulf's eyes brighten. "Mmm, I'm sorry," He pinched her cheeks.
Memory starts flashing in his mind where Gulf used to pinch his cheeks before too when he's wailing or acting like a baby.
He just smiled painfully at that. It won't never happened again. He already found someone.
"Hi," she smiled and wave at him. Mew just nodded and smiled back at the girl. "Is he your friend, babe?," The girl asked.
Gulf and him shared a look. "Yeah, he's an old friend of mine," Gulf then look at her lovingly. "Ohh," she nodded and offer her hand to him. "I'm Lea, what's your name?,"
Mew accept his hand, not minding those dagger that's piercing his heart. "Mew," He told her his name and he smiled forcedly. "Then, I'll go now. It's nice to meet you," Mew excused himself, don't want to be in the same place with Gulf. Lea is confuse but he just waved at Mew when he already starts walking away. "Let's go babe," Lea pulled him and Gulf couldn't help but to look back at Mew. He can feel it but chose to ignore it.
After Mew paid for what he bought, he went to the wrapping section. He paid 5 dollars and they started to wrap the things he bought. After that he immediately went to his car even his whole body is screaming for Gulf's presence, telling that he should go and comeback to Gulf's warm embrace again. He wants to look back and find Gulf by his bare eyes but he knows that Gulf is busy with his girlfriend already.
