After a pretty bad genocide, a really bad one. A human laid there, in a puddle of his own blood, laughing a bit as a small monster walked past him, blood seemingly dripping from their fur. He could feel as the blood seemed to go up and around him, staining his pale skin and white hair red. "Papyrus...? I'm going to Grillby's... Ya want anything?" He asked no one, his mind playing tricks on him while his vision faded to black.

While somewhere else, another reset happened at the same time, causing an error to occur. The souls in question both felt a weird tug, not normal to their resets, but other words, as quick at the pull happened, as quick it went away. The tug forgotten as the sounds of a voice could be heard, and a knock on a door.

"Sans! Wake up!" Papyrus? He just curled up more onto his side, unresponsive at first. "SANS! Wake up! You'll be late! I made breakfast spaghetti for you!" He came calling for his brother again.

"I'm up paps." Came a tired voice. He groaned as he sat up, feeling as his bones popped in his back as he did so. "I hope it's not, pasta the time for us to leave." He said, grinning a bit, running a hand through his hair as he stood up. The same old room he always wakes up in after each reset.

A groan came from behind the door. "Well we will be if you don't hurt up and come downstairs to eat! While you eat I'll clean the dishes and pack your lunch!" He called, the sounds of retreating footsteps could be heard.

"I'll be down in a minute!" He called out, stretching. He moved, going to the grab his usually hoodie, slipping it on. He went to put his usual slippers on, and heading to the door. One he unlocked the door and headed downt he stairs, he could hear his brother in the kitchen, cleaning the dishes. How he reaches that sink, he would never know. He yawned a bit, eyes closed as he lazily walked to his usual seat at the table, reaching out to take the fork that was on his plate.

As he started to eat, he heard the water shut off, before his brothers voice spoke up. "Sans, i hope you won't fall asleep at your station again this time! You need to be on guard if a hu-" he said, the sounds of his brothers voice as he seemed to finally turn around from trying his hands. "Man- human."

"Hm? Bro why are you saying human." He snorts, now opening his eyes. "We are surrounded by the-" he body froze, eyes widening at the sight before him. Where he believed his brother was, was not his little bro. No. Instead it was a skeleton, who sounds and dressed exactly like him.

The two stared at each other for a while, almost seemingly processing what was happening, before both seemingly screamed out is shock, papyrus for not expecting a human to be where his brother would usually sit. And sans for, who the hell was that and where was his brother?! He tried to jump up in shock, his blue eyes seemingly to glow from the sudden fright, but thanks to the fact he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings, he tripped over the chair he was just in, going crashing down to the floor.

The skeleton in question was watching the human as he went down, watching as they seemed to hit their head on the ground and curl up, gripping where they just him. What does he do?! He hasn't been trained for this! No one told him a human coming into his home was possible, and why were they dressed like his brother!?

Hearing the pained groan as the human seemed to have touched too hard to his now soar skull, he frowns, moving to kneel down by him. "Human- are you okay?" Worry seemed to be in his tone. Did the human really hurt themselves?

Hearing the voice, a voice he recognized, but not the face was now giving his already aching head, a headache as he tried to process what was happening. Safe to say though, he was awake now. Or was he? Was this some weird dream that was a side effect of a reset? He's been through a few and none like this... He slowly sat up right, watching the skeleton closely. "... Ya know, tibia honest, i wasn't expecting to find a skeleton in my kitchen." He said, a confused tone to his voice, but he forced a usually smile to his face like always. "Well while I'm dreaming, might as well introduce myself. I'm Sans, Sans the human." He shrugged, holding his hand out.
