The Time Clock

Chapter 1

The sound of squeaky shoes and the smell of pickles , popcorn and other types of yummy chips and snacks .

My first time at a WSU game ! And it's great !! It was expensive but the $60 was worth it . I was getting into the game , Wichita 42 / Missouri 21 . There is no WAY that Missouri would catch up .

It was the last 4:00 minutes and as soon as Wichita shot the ball ...

"Destiny!! Destiny!!!" It was my mom . What does she want ?
"Destiny sweetie , are you ready to leave ?"
Um ... "Mom , there is about four more minutes in this game , you expect me to leave !?" She thinks I'm crazy . Hell no .
"Honey , your two hours late taking your heart medication , that's unhealthy."
Uh fine .. "Yeah, I guess I'm ready ."
"Great ! Go get in the car , I'll meet you there then off home sweet homeeee !"

My moms scaring me , she chirpier than usual. Usually she's barking and growling at me . But we do have a three hour drive home .

I wanna move , I hate Garden City . Everyone is so rude ! Nobody ever cares about anything unless your well known . I'm anything but known in a town .

But , my family , the Jones , are well known . Something about helping make the saloon or something in the 1900s , - wait . Or was it the library ? I don't know .

But who cares about my stupid ancestors , I need to text my boyfriend , Eric . Eric is so sweet , he's always getting me small stuff and the best thing I love about Eric is that he's a basketball player . And so am I !!

I grabbed my iPhone and unlocked my screen and clicked iMessage and pecked on the keyboard :
"hey babe😘"
he responded within a minute .
"Aye bae😘"
"I just wanted to tell you WSU won🏀 !"
"Amazing ! Babe , your probably gave them hope😍 I love you !"
" I love you too , I gotta go to bed "
"Night baby girl !😘😘"

He knows I love him , I feel like he thinks he's cool when he gets the last word . So , he gets the last word .
