y/n and her group of friends breeze through class and training easily. she's getting used to her new school, her new classmates, everything. as she walked, surrounded by her friends she felt like an immeasurable amount of pressure had been lifted off her shoulders. she felt like she had belonged, she was content.
mina's pink arms wrapped around y/n's body as she jumped on her, the other girl almost lost her balance but quickly regained it. "y/n!!!! since it's friday, do you want to go hang out with us? y'know outside of campus and the dorms?" the other girl quickly agreed to the offer. "great! so it'll be me, you, sero, and kaminari!" y/n's ears perked up as she heard the last name slip out of the pink girl's mouth.
the two girls caught up with the pair of boys and told them about their plans, they gladly accepted the invitation. sero soon started up a conversation with mina, and quickened his pace, leaving the blonde haired boy and (h/c) haired girl on their own as they made their way out of the campus grounds. y/n definitely knew he did this on purpose.
"hey y/n," the blonde boy looked at the girl, she couldn't read the tone on his face.
"yeah? whats up?" the girl replied slowly, a bit nervous.
"remember the conversation we had, about whether or not i was into someone?" the girl's heart sank.
"oh right! i do remember," her hands got clammy and she clenched onto her bag slightly.
"truth is, i am into someone. it was really sudden, i just realized this morning. i wanted you to be the first person i told," kaminari smiled at the girl next to him.
she smiled back almost immediately, "really? well i'm honored! who is it? if you don't mind telling me?" she had the tiniest bit of hope that this lucky person was somehow her. she thought it was a little stupid considering they had just met, but anything is possible in this obscure world.
"hmm," he turned away from the girl's smile, he felt his cheeks heating up, "i can't tell you! not yet at least, not until i know she likes me back."
"so it's a girl? what a lucky lady," she continued to look at him with hopeful eyes.
"i guess so! do you have a crush on anyone? oh god that sounds so childish to say," he let out a laugh as he looked back at the girl. she felt her heart race as he asked the question, along with hearing his laugh right after? it was a critical attack to her heart!
her face got warm quickly, there was a noticeable tint of red spread across her face as she stared at the boy. "i do, it is childish! but yes i do," she began to laugh along.
kaminari gripped his bag a little, "sooo, you gonna tell me who it is?" he smiled at y/n.
"well— i can't tell you either! not until i know he likes me back," she gave him a toothy grin before speeding up to catch up with the duo ahead of them. kaminari was dumbfounded, but he felt his heart flutter as he followed the girl to join the group.
A/N: hiii ^^;;;; sorry i kinda yk, died c: my baddd, school got to me and i ended up transferring to a completely new school LOLLLL but i'm back now hopefully. and truthfully, i haven't been caught up with anything anime soooo. it'll take me awhile to get used to writing again, so for now a short chapter. i'll try to write more frequently :)
