You loved working at Baratie, it was one of the best jobs you had ever had. While most waiters and waitresses were deterred by the rowdiness of the fighting cooks, you weren't. You thrived in the atmosphere of chaos and the culinary arts.
"Alright! You had the-"
"YOU BASTARD!" You hear one of the recently seated customers yell. You let out a sigh and turn to face the noise, others sitting on the edge of their seats to watch the fight that was sure to occur. "I'LL SEE TO IT THAT THIS RESTAURANT IS SHUT DOWN!"
"Pardon me for a moment." You give the guests you were serving an award winning smile then put your notepad in the pocket of your apron; the pen behind your ear. There was a loud crash and when you look, the customer, who just so happened to be a high ranking marine, was on the ground. There was wood and soup everywhere. 'What a waste.' You thought to yourself. You take a deep breath then, put back on that smile, stepping in front of the sous chef before he could do any more damage to the man or the Baratie's reputation. You squat down to be face to face with the man on the floor then take a napkin from your pocket and begin wiping the soup off of his cheek.
"I'm sorry about that." You say sweetly, almost sickeningly so. "You'll have to forgive Sanji, he's very passionate about his work." You could feel the heated gaze of said man towering behind you. You offer the man a hand to stand when there's yet another commotion. You retract your hand then stand to watch as a rude pirate kicks his feet up on one of the tables, demanding one of the chefs to fetch him some food.
While Patty was still yelling at the pirate, you realized Sanji was no long at your side and was sneaking up to the kitchen. You couldn't help but let a small, almost longing, smile slip through at the sight. When you turn back around to help the marine off the floor, you notice he and his men are crawling out the door. You let out a little giggle and a shrug. 'Some tough marines they are.' There's a loud slam and Patty has the pirate out the door out on the deck. Not much longer after, Sanji, with a plate of food, walks out that same door. He doesn't like the thought of anyone going hungry, even if that someone is a no good pirate. You head back to your table and continue with the tables order.
"Where were we?" You get back into it as if nothing had happened. That day ended up being more exciting than most. Captain Krieg, one of the famous pirates that had traversed the Grand Line with his magnificent fleet, attacked after demanding more food for him and his men. Head Chef Zeff was having none of it. Everyone fought bravely, including Sanji and some other customers that you hadn't noticed before, more pirates. That wasn't all either. Just when you thought it couldn't get any more crazy, Dracule Mihawk rolls up in his own boat, coming to finish off Krieg and his men. Only to turn and fight one of the pirates from the other crew that had moss colored hair and three swords. After all the chaos has calmed down, you and the other chefs sit down for a meal, they were all mumbling to themselves about something, a plan maybe? There weren't too keen on letting you in on it though. Before you knew it, they were all slamming down their spoons and telling Sanji how disgusting his soup was. Then he was storming out of the room. You slammed your own spoon down and stood, steaming. "What the hell was that!?" You ask, glaring at the men around you.
