Luke's POV

Michael offered for me to sit with him at lunch. As I usually sit alone, I didn't refuse the offer.

After being lead to the cafeteria. I sat down at my usual table as Michael went off and got his food, giving me a confused look as I didn't follow everyone else.

He was one of the people thay got his food early so it didn't take long for him to sit down with me.

As I suspected, he immediately asked,

"You aren't gonna eat lunch?"

I shook my head and just started drawing, wishing I had another coffee or water with me.

"Why not? Luke, all you had was black coffee today?"

He seemed worried which made me chuckle.

"The food here makes my stomach hurt."

He blinked a bit, I hoped he would just believe me.

"That black coffee alone will hurt your stomach more."

I looked at his plate, seeing a small tray of salad that looked fresh. I stood up and walked to get me one with a small pack of dressing as it had the nutrition facts on it. I decided the dressing was fine.

I went back to my shared table with Michael. He just stared blankly as I put my salad down with the dressing and a fork.

"Damn, Luke. I hope you're having a big dinner or something."

He kept the mood light but I could still hear the shock in his voice. I hummed in response as I mixed the dressing with the salad.

My stomach was making weird sounds the more I ate. I absolutely hated it cause it wasn't hunger sounds, it's just sounds it makes. It's been doing that ever since I started eating the way I do.

Michael ate carefree, not worrying about a single calorie or carb content in it. I was subconsciously doing it for him and I felt guilty over it.

"What're you staring at?"

Michael piped up after swallowing a piece of food. I shook my head and laughed.

"Nothin."

"Is there somethin on me?!"

He swiftly started to dust off his shirt like there was a spider on it, screeching like a child. I couldn't hold in my laughter.

"No! No! There's nothing on you!"

He calmed down, letting out a whine.

"You scared me!"

I let my laughter calm down before responding.

"You got the spider off!"

Michael laughed nervously, checking again for anything on him.

I focused on my food, it happened again though. I ate it all in the blink of an eye. I don't know why this kept happening!

Michael looked at me, shocked as I completed the food before he even took his 5th bite.

"Guess the hunger set in, huh?"

I shrugged and put my head in my hands.

"I guess.."

Michael gave a reassuring pat to my arm as he finished his food. I felt so sick and nauseous for some reason. I laid my head down as little black dots started filling the corners of my sight. I closed my eyes as I hoped it would stop them.

"Luke?"

I heard a voice as my body was being shaken.

"Luke? Wake the fuck up, dude."

Michael. It was Michael talking and most likely shaking me. I slowly opened my eyes and rubbed my face.

"Dude, what the hell? Did you faint?"

I laughed at the ridiculous accusation.

"No, I just felt sleepy."

"Yo- Alright.."

He thankfully dropped it as I didn't wanna argue over my health again. I'm healthy, this is healthy. I'm absolutely fine.
