Cozy's Point Of View
I poured myself some breakfast as my dad sat on the couch, watching the local news. "Hurry up, you're going to be late. How do you expect yourself to do well this semester if you're not able to arrive on time?!" My dad yelled from the living room. I quickly finished my cornflakes, wished the bowl, and left for school.
"You see, I'm a 14 year old who recently transferred to International World Invader's Academy, or IWIA for short. I had to walk there because my dad won't drop me off and there's no bus service for where I am, so that leaves me to walk. For those who wonder why my mom can't just drop me off, well that's just because I don't have a mother. My mother passed after my alter ego/brother snuck a cat in the house. Yea- that didn't end up too well. That's one reason why my dad doesn't like me." -Wed, 17th May, 5:30 A.M.
Anyway, I was about 20 minutes away when a car pulled up next to me. "Hey! Are you lost?" A voice called out. I looked at the location of the voice to see a dark skinned guy with void black hair and ruby red eyes. He looked to be around 17 years old. For some reason, I felt a wave of happiness enter my body.
"I'm just going to IWIA-" I replied to the stranger. The stranger looked at me in a concerned way. "All by yourself? You don't have folks that can take you?" He asked. I shook my head in a no. "The bus?" He questioned. "It can't go where I live, or that's what my father told me." I answered honestly.
"If I'm being honest, my dad wasn't the most reliable person to go to, but when he's the only person you can go to, you really don't have a choice. About thirty five percent of the time he told me something, it was the truth. All the other times were just lies. Even more ways to manipulate me into doing very limited things, like eating, or going out." -Wed, 17th May, 5:57 A.M.
"Where do you live? Your daddy might be lying." He questioned in curiosity. "Um- I live over on 220th Street. The pastel yellow house over near the lake." I answered. The man looked me in shock. "The bus does go over there, it's the first place it goes everyday." He said. "Well, my dad isn't really a fond of me, so that probably explains" I admitted.
"I never really told anyone about the way my dad treats me at home. The way it is at home is that I take care of myself and the house while he sits around and does nothing. I don't know why I was even talking to this random guy I met on my way to school." -Wed, 17th May, 6:07 A.M.
"Let me take you, I'm sure my friends will like you" He said. I took a deep breath and gave in. I got in the passenger seat and took out my pocket knife. "You take me to the wrong place and you're done for..." I threatened. He nodded in response as we left for IWIA.
"I later learned that the stranger's name was King Sombra, but goes by Sombra. Sombra had grew up in a orphanage since he didn't really have family to go home to. When Sombra was forced to leave the orphanage, he took in a part-time job and rented an apartment. Now he just takes care of himself and lives his normal life." -Wed, 17th May, 6:43 A.M.
When we arrived at IWIA, Sombra and I went towards the doors. Sombra went in with no problem. I hesitated at first, but I decided to just go through the doors. I was surprised to see what was happening beyond those doors...
