"Hashtag Lendall" Mox and Tweeder chanted

I shook my head smiling.

"Aye ladies Lance is off the market!" Wendell yelled smiling for us it's like he was the one off the market

"Boys sorry but looks like Kendall's off the market and into Lance's" Billy Bob nodded clapping his hands, sweat dripping down his face

"Guys, come on. There's a game today" I sat on the cafeteria table

"What about?" Lance chuckled placing his arm behind my waist

"Don't be over confident now guys, you have to really put your head in the game it's Gilroy you guys never won against them and I know it." I shook Mox's shoulders

"She's right, she would know since she was the cheerleader in Gilroy" Jules nodded at Lance

"She's right guys, they're right! There's no way I'm losing to Gilroy again. No!" Billy Bob raised his voice pounding against the table making me and Jules jump a little

"Relax Billy Bob, we just need a better game plan" Lance pat Billy Bob's back

"I'm trusting you Lance, we all are" Mox pointed

"It's all about trust" I smiled playing with Lance's dirty blondish eyebrows

Lance looked up at my thumbs and smiled, his jawlines showing and his blue eyes catching my brown ones. We're opposites but opposites attract, we have a few things in common but not a lot and that's not going to get in between our relationship. I'm serious about this because Lance is, being serious doesn't mean you can't have fun.

"Won't your cheerleader teammates from Gilroy be furious that you betrayed em?" Billy Bob wiped his sweat off

"Nah, I don't worry about that. I hardly think they can recognize me, plus if they do get angry with me I wouldn't give a damn, a dollar per damn I give" I tapped my nails against the table

"Say what now?" Billy Bob questioned

"Every damn she gone give, Billy Bob, she gone give a dollar" Tweeder explained slowly and clearly just turning around what I had just said

"Oh I see" He nodded

"Come on guys we'll be late to class" Jules nodded at me

"Screw class guys, come on let's ditch" Tweeder whispered

"I go wherever he goes" Billy Bob pointed

"I'm in" Lance's deep voice always caught my attention

"Lance is my partner in AP chem next class and it's much better if we skip class as a partner" Mox pointed his finger up in the air high fiving the guys

"Girls you in?" Lance asked playing with my fingers

"I'd love to, when schools over" I winked walking away to class

"See you boys" Jules and I waved from behind

"Come on babe, just this once" Lance hollered from afar

I turned around and shook my head

"Bye baby" I waved for the last time

I'm willing to say today's a good day,
not because I feel like we're going to win against Gilroy because I have someone to call mine, someone who's not afraid to yell out that I'm his- because I have friends that feel like family even if I've only known them for a few months, it feels like forever and I don't say this to other people because it usually takes years for me to get comfortable with people, for them it took a month or maybe even less.
