*The story of how Remus got his much adored cup and along with his much adored daughter.*

---

1979

Remus was sat at the kitchen table, a cup of tea sat in front of him going cold and a newspaper in front of him- the puzzles already completed by Sirius that morning. Remus had woken hours after Sirius due to that he had hardly any part in the war besides Dumbledore deciding he needs him for research- hence the office upstairs amongst their bedroom, along with James and Lily's, and Peter's guest room- or to hunt down werewolves to get them to join their side. Sirius was more in deep with the Order along with James, always waking up early at five or possibly four and hunting down Death Eater's or guarding Diagon Alley during the night.

Dumbledore had told James and Sirius that they're allowed the day off, and you'd assume that they would stay home with their loved ones because they hardly saw each other but James was able to find time with Lily and since she had a duty to do, James had the day to do as he pleased and Sirius could hardly stay in one spot that no one expected him to stay home all day of long enough to leave his dent in his home. Sure, this has caused fights between Remus and Sirius since they hardly saw each other but as time went on they found ways to spend time together- even if it was just an hour, Remus accepted that hour over not seeing Sirius at all. For their day off, despite all the time they spent together for their missions, they spent the day together and were going to be returning after lunch.

Remus didn't realise he had waken minutes before twelve, a couple of hours before Sirius would be returning home, until he was looking at the clock on the bed side table and letting out a grunt of disappointment and annoyance for himself.

He reached for him cup of tea and took a sip before grimacing at the cold liquid in his cup as the door clicked open and Sirius' whistling tone came echoing in. Remus folded his newspaper and put it down, watching Sirius notice him at the kitchen table and smile before approaching him. He set the bag in his hand on the table and ruffled through it.

"I got you a gift." He said with overwhelming joy, biting his lip happily as he pulled it out the bag.

Remus was too busy smiling at his partner to actually pay attention to what he was pulling out of the bag. Sirius was known for mindlessly spending his money of things- hence the motorbike that sat in their garage that he spent months working on after finishing Hogwarts before riding it everywhere- and he loved spending the money on those he love- hence the great gifts he's gotten the Marauders for their birthday and Christmas along with the present he got James and Lily for their engagement and wedding. Remus wasn't expecting Sirius to buy him a gift outside of an occasion since they've never done it before.

Sirius pushed the gift more in front of Remus, making him glance down at it and wear an expression of confusion. 'Daddy's cup' shined in Remus' face, making the confusion on his face be revealed to Sirius. He was about to ask if this was supposed to be James', getting ready to ask if Lily was pregnant and this was their way of revealing it. Although, why would he be shown the cup? Before words of confusion could leave his lips, Sirius reached into the bag again and push a piece of paper towards Remus, smiling more. He glanced at it, hardly paying it attention as he looked up at Sirius before glancing back down and examining it.

It was a sonogram, the baby being a few weeks old.

"Remember Tori, from school?" Sirius asked, hardly being able to stand still.

"Yeah, she was in my study group." Remus replied, looking up confused before realising. This was Tori's baby, but why did Sirius have a sonogram and a cup that said 'Daddy's cup'?
