Caitlyn's POV
Today was just a lazy day for Wesley and I at our house. I'm suppose to find out the gender pretty soon, but yet I still haven't felt the baby kick. I asked Laraine about it and she said it was pretty normal.
"Has the baby kicked yet?" Wesley asked. We were currently in the kitchen Wesley was making breakfast and I was sitting on the counter.
"No." I answer, continuing to scroll through twitter.
"What about now?" He asks and I laugh.
"Babe, don't worry I'll let you know." I tell him, nibbling on a strawberry.
"Okay, okay. When's our next appointment?" He asks putting two omelets on two plates.
"Next Thursday." I answer and he nods.
"You excited?" He asks carrying the plates to the table.
"Yeah, what about you?"
"Yeah, I'm excited to see our little peanut." He says and I slightly giggle. Ever since our first ultra sound he's referred to our baby as 'our little peanut'
"I'm so ready to meet our little one." I say, rubbing my little baby belly. Once I do that, I feel a push against my hand causing me to smack my knee on the table.
"You okay babe?" Wes asks
"Baby just kicked." I say smiling. He drops his fork on his plate and immediately comes over to me, putting his hand where mine was. The baby kicks again where Wes's hand is. As soon as that happens Wes smiles.
"Hi peanut." He says and the baby kicks again. "Woah." He says and I laugh.
"Yeah your mom was saying that the baby can actually hear us." I smile as I tell him.
"That's so cool!"
"Yeah, you keep momma company throughout the day don't you, little peanut?" I say and there's another kick against my belly.
"Does it feel weird?" Wes asks.
"Kinda, but it's really cool." I say tracing slight patterns on my belly.
"It's almost like they're answering us." He says and I nod.
"I can't believe we're going to have our own little one soon." I smile.
