I entered my house on the campus. It was the only house around here and was the only one I could afford as of right now. It wasn't that good with its bare cream walls and shitty appliances but there was one thing that attracted me to it.
Its basement.
It was made of stone with old rustic cells. The house owners didn't know it even existed as there was a secret passage to it. I had spent hours upon hours analysing every single detail of the photos to see if anything interested me.
~flashback~
I looked at my computer, sitting in the dark with my glasses perched up on my nose. I had been looking at houses for days now and had come across this one. The reviews were sketchy as many people seemed to have gone missing from the home but for me it just made me more curious.
I wanted to know exactly what was wrong in the house that made so many people cower away from it. I didn't believe they had just disappeared, they were probably scared of something in it and I wanted to get to the bottom of what exactly they were afraid of.
I looked at the picture of the living room for the 100th time, trying to see if there were any details I had missed. At first glance it just seemed like a normal living room with its bare cream coloured walls and the purple couch perched at the side of the room.
There was a fireplace in the middle of it and it struck me at being odd. It just didn't make sense that it would be there, normally they would be put it in a place in a wall but this one just stood on its own. I had been in enough houses throughout my life to know this wasn't normal. I had checked all the other rooms and there was nothing that seemed to have ingrained itself in my memory but this one, it just kept coming back to me. I was sure there was something wrong with it.
I cropped the fireplace and zoomed in. After what seemed to have been hours of just looking I finally spotted what seemed like a lever. I zoomed in even further and saw that there was a slight crack on the ground. There was definitely something in there.
I smiled deviously to myself as I sent in an email requesting to buy this property. Hacking into a bank wasn't a big deal so the money wouldn't be a problem. I just had to make sure not to take out too much at once as to not make it too obvious there was a theft happening.
The next day I had been approved and immediately started packing all my necessities together to take with me.
~end of flashback~
I walked to the fireplace and pulled the lever. As I had expected the floor opened up to me revealing stone steps leading to a dark musty basement. I walked down as some water dripped down on the cold tiles, echoing around the room like a symphony. Spiders crawled everywhere as I pushed past the cobwebs. I reached the end and saw a cell covered in foliage. It was strange seeing as no light could reach down here and as of my knowledge the plant couldn't have been watered. I decided I was going to ignore it for now and just deal with it later.
After all the only purpose it was going to have was to keep my new plaything in place.
I got back up and went to the bedroom. I got my laptop out of my suitcase and immediately got to work. I hacked into the government databases and searched up Hardin Verde.
HARDIN VERDE
18 YEARS OLD
PARENTS : JARDÍN VERDE (FATHER)
HARDINA VERDE (MOTHER)
OCCUPATION: OWNERS OF MULTIPLE HOTELS AND GREAT FUNDERS TO HARVARD.
ADDRESS: 69 INMOM WAY
ALLERGIES: PENICILLINLooking at his profile I wasn't shocked. I knew a dumb person like him couldn't have just gotten into harvard based on brains alone. Mommy and Daddy must have pulled a few strings to get him in and it clearly showed. He was an only child which meant he was probably spoiled. It made me mad how he never had to struggle a day in his life. It just made my desire to to make his life hell even stronger than before.
I concocted a plan. I was going to wait until midnight until I knew he was asleep and then go in there and inject some anesthesia into him. He was going to sleep peacefully for a while and then he would be transported here and taken care of by me.
~at midnight~
I put on a black jumpsuit and ski mask to hide my identity. No face no case. I got my backpack and filled it with some rope and anesthesia. Checking everything was in its right place I exited the house and locked the door behind me.
He lived outside campus but it was just a short 5 minutes walk from my house so it wasn't a big deal. I walked on the silent streets as not even a car passed by. I could hear the shallow breaths I was taking in and my shoes patting down on the concrete.
Reaching his house I made sure there wasn't anyone around and skilfully picked the lock with a Bobby pin. It was a pretty shitty lock in my opinion. I tiptoed stealthily around the house and upstairs until I finally found the door to his room. Quietly I opened it and stepped inside.
His room was exactly what I expected. Childish. There were fairy lights everywhere with my little pony pictures on the wall. There was we bare bears books on the floor scattered messily while a power puff girls bed rested right in the middle.
I walked over looking at his red puffy eyes and tear ridden cheeks. He looked so peaceful just sleeping. I pulled out the syringe and inserted it into his carotid artery. He moved a bit but then succumbed to the darkness taking over him.
I made sure to tie him up carefully so if he did wake up he couldn't escape. I tossed him over my shoulder as I walked out the house. I wasn't worried about anybody seeing me as I had made sure all the people living here went exactly to where my highscool teachers were. Either in Hell or Heaven.
I calmly walked on the peaceful streets and entered my house. I went down in the basement and tied up the poor boy leaving him no room for escape.
Now all I had to do was wait.
