No One's POV
The rainbow-eyed demon stared at the setting sun through the glass of the ancient castle.
"Lord Doma?" A servant bowed.
The demon did not answer his cult member, instead choosing to think back to old memories.
"My darling (y/n)...it has been over hundreds of years since I've seen your beautiful face and heard your melodious laughter." Doma looked down at the wedding ring he kept as a necklace, never having the chance to give it to her. "I'd give a thousand lives if it meant I could see you once more."
The servant stood still as he heard his master lament on the past-as he did on three specific days; his lover's birthday, the day their son Soma was born, and the day she left him.
"I have waited in this castle for centuries awaiting your return, hoping one day you might walk home again." Doma shook his head sadly.
The servant slowly sat down, feeling quite bad for his master as he knew of the pain and anguish Doma went through.
Doma shook his head and turned around, giving his most loyal servant a saddened smile. "Yes, Hitoshi?"
"A package arrived for you from the Gojo clan."
The demon nodded. "You may leave it. Go on, Hitoshi. You and the rest of the members may partake in the summer sun festival."
"Would you like to join us?" Hitoshi asked him, hoping to draw out the man the entire cult worshiped and adored.
"I'm afraid not tonight. Maybe on the last day."
Hitoshi left and Doma looked at the gentle package.
"What could the Gojo clan want with me?" Doma wondered aloud. "I do know that my son's ancestors care deeply about paying tribute to Soma, but do they know he is my son? Even if they do what is their motive?"
The demon opened the package and nearly dropped it.
Inside was the hairpin the demon gave to his missing lover four hundred years ago.
Doma shakily picked it up, clutching it tightly. "So the rumors are true. She is alive."
Back at the Demon Slayer headquarters, Kamado Tanjiro listened to the rest of Ubuyashiki's warning, letting every word sink in.
"I have forseen that we need her help. You will travel to her shrine with Tokito and another boy." Ubuyashiki hesitated before speaking again. "And bring your sister. Perhaps the demon queen will know how to save her."
Kamado looked at the box on his back, hope glimmering in his eyes. "Then where can I find her?"
The middle-aged master took out a strange looking instrument and began to play, singing along.
Up on the mountain Yukiharu, there is a shrine said to be the home of an ancient power.
Past the field of golden stones and currents of ice lay a bridge that will only show itself to someone of quick wits.
Go too far and you will sink as you seek answers within the shrine.
Should you pass the test, the guardian of the stars will answer your prayers and bless your family with good fortune.
Ubuyashiki finished the tune, putting down his instrument. "You must journey to Mount Yukiharu. It is the only way you can reach the queen of demons also known as the guardian of stars. Though no knows she is the same person. A benevolent being."
